Enjoy! change

Belinda has given you some Hot chocolate with plump marshmallows and foamy cream! Drink it up!

Most dearest and diligent Normandy, for the past few days, I've been pondering over barnstars, roses, {{smile}}s, and {{cookies}}, not knowing what to give you. I've come to you at last, to offer you a humble mug of Hot Chocolate. There are so much things I wish to say to you, and it is so difficult to sum it up in plain words that seem so colorless to express my delight—but yet I will do so—I love to see sweet people like you join our project, and I know you're just the right kind of editors we need, net-positive, helpful, and yet very wise in your decisions. I am also very amazed at how well you get along here so soon with so little help, such as the way you know just the right kind of articles to nominate for RFD! All these kindnesses and virtues you've demonstrated, however, certainly cannot be payed back by just a few worthless words from a person like me, so I thought I would leave you a simple little drink along with it. I do look forward to more of your wonderful editing, dear Normandy! :) ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 13:26, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Wow! You know me so well, in fact a work colleague just offered me a Hot Chocolate in real life too! Thanks for your kind words, its nice to know you are appreciated! :) Hope I can start adding to this wiki rather than just deleting articles though... haha! Hope you had a Merry Xmas and will have a happy new year! Thanks again Bella! Normandie Talk! 13:37, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Provinces change

I suggest to switch within

The rest seems ok to me. TopoChecker (talk) 14:15, 11 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I don't see a problem with those. They seem fair enough. You can be bold and do them yourself by the way, but if you don't wish to, or don't know how I'll do them soon. Regards Normandie Talk! 16:34, 11 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
I've moved:
As such, all are done. Anything else let me know. Normandie Talk! 20:42, 11 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Great :-) I think simple is going to have a very simply set up :-) TopoChecker (talk) 02:40, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

States change

I suggest to change those in Category:States by country having "in" to "of". Category:Provinces by country only uses "of". Three affected are:

  • Germany
  • India
  • Mexico

I suggest change "U.S. states" to "States of the United States", commons and en already use that, see: commons:Category:States of the United States.

Is there a tool for mass re-categorization? TopoChecker (talk) 02:40, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi Normandy, congratulations on completing well over 200 edits. Here is your first Wikipedia book. Peterdownunder (talk) 11:16, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Invite and treat change

Here. (phew, at least it's in a template now.) Hi! I noticed that you edited an article that's in our scope and I was wondering if you were interested in Warriors. I thought, well, maybe that person is interested in WikiProject Warriors! There's a link here, and you can join if you like. It'll have links to every Warriors article that need to be fixed and there's a LOT in there. I haven't gotten around to finishing it yet so I would accept your help in it. It covers all articles about the series Warriors and so it is very easy to do. Thanks! I edited an article in that projects scope? Well, no thanks, I have no interest (or knowledge) on that topic so fear I would be of absolutely no use whatsoever. Thanks for the offer though :) Normandie Talk! 22:50, 17 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
I would like to take this opportunity to re-iterate the point that I made over on WP:ST that seems to have been completely ignored. I also carefully eye the numerous MYSPACE warnings on your talk page... Goblin 22:56, 17 January 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Fr33kman!Reply

Your RfA change

Hi there Normandy, just wanted to mention that I hope you will stick around and remain editing here regardless of the outcome and comments that are appearing on your RfA. You may have noticed that I've had a word with one of the commentators regarding a rather outrageous comment that they have made on the RfA, and suggest that you take little notice of it as we're happy with however much (or little!) 'effort' you put into the site because it's completely voluntary and your own free time - the last thing I want is for you (or anyone else who might be reading this or the RfA) to be put off by the actions of one user which doesn't reflect the ideas of the community. Regards, Goblin 14:37, 18 January 2011 (UTC) I ♥ The Rambling Man!Reply

I would like to echo those comments. While this RfA may not pass due to your limited amount of activity so far, I think it's clear that you know what you're doing here and that you're a good editor and an asset to this project. Kansan (talk) 14:53, 18 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Agreed! Your work is appreciated!--Gordonrox24 | Talk 01:35, 19 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hmmm thanks I think. You think I'm doing a good job but lets just limit what buttons he can push 'cause he's a newbie. Is there some kind of loop I'm not in yet? I still maintain I have enough experience as I meet the criteria that the community set out, so sorry, I don't buy the 'too soon' votes at all. Normandie Talk! 12:22, 19 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sorry! I knew I forgot something when closing it. I was busy this morning with creating a new archive and had to close two other RfAs on meta. I forgot to leave you a message, that I had to close this as unsuccessful since there were much more opposes than supports. As I said in the closure, do some more edits and try it again in a few months with some more experience! -Barras (talk) 12:31, 25 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Re: change

Thanks DJSasso, how did I guess that you would be the first on the scene to block me...? I waited around to see if I was right, and I was! :) Also, Kennedy was never blocked by the community. And finally, could you link me to where the community did ban me? I honestly don't remember that discussion happening. Normandie Talk! 13:38, 28 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Actually a few admins discussed it on IRC and in reading the previous discussion where NotGiven/Hoots and your various other socks were blocked we felt it appropriate to block you. -DJSasso (talk) 13:54, 28 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Since when was community consensus decided by a few admins on IRC? Also that discussion you linked is a no consensus discussion to lift a previous block. Could you link the discussion where I am actually blocked by community consensus. The reason I ask is that if there is no consensus to have me blocked, then why am I blocked? Kennedy retired, it wasn't blocked. Normandie Talk! 14:05, 28 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Kennedy is left unblocked so if you wanted to come back and not try to trick people with socks that you could. Unfortunately you keep socking. As such you have been blocked again. It doesn't take community consensus to block a sock. And why should you care? You are retired right? :P -DJSasso (talk) 14:08, 28 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
