April 2019

change

Hello! Thank you for creating Harney County, Oregon. However, we normally need at least three pages in a category before it is created. Because categories are a way to group together similar articles, there is no need to create a new category for just one or two articles. If you think there might be more pages to add to the new category, please add them now. Thank you. Auntof6 (talk) 05:48, 21 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

RfD: Spaniel

change

Just a reminder, when requesting articles for deletion, remember to also create it's RfD discussion page. Thanks! rollingbarrels (talk) 03:53, 9 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

You also have to add it to the list of currently active RfDs, and (optionally) notify the person who created the page. If you use Twinkle, you can press the "rfd" button and it will take care of all of that for you :) Computer Fizz (talk) 03:59, 9 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

warnings that don't adhere to format

change

Hey there, when you want to warn a user for something like making bad pages, you have to be sure it sticks to the format otherwise automated tools won't be able to detect it as a warning. If you're using Twinkle, you can do this via the TW > Warn tab, otherwise if you're not, make sure that 1) the section title doesn't contain a comma (should look like == January 2020 == 2) if you're trying to send a message that looks similar to templates, you can simply use those templates. There's several ones that you may have a hard time memorizing, but you can start with {{subst:uw-vandalism2|(page they vandalized here)}} and increase that 2 to a 3 or a 4 if there have been previous warnings.

Hope this helps you, let me know if something I said was confusing or you have any more questions :) Computer Fizz (talk) 20:25, 12 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

January 2020

change

Thank you for your changes to Wikipedia, Aeroplane 82. However, I would like to remind you that when you use certain templates, you should substitute them by adding "subst:" before the template's name. An example is, use "{{subst:uw-subst}}" instead of "{{uw-subst}}". This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. Thank you. rollingbarrels (talk) 16:50, 27 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
