Templates

change

Hello, Drbogdan. Thanks for your work here. I would like to mention a couple of things related to the templates you created.

First, in any page you create, please do not include links to other Wikipedias. That goes for templates, articles, and anything else. Just use local links, even if they are red. Red links are OK, because they help us see what articles are missing here.

Second, please give more thought to which articles the templates belong in. You might have seen that I removed templates from several articles where you added them. For example, I removed the {{LocationOfEarth}} template from Tree of life (biology), because it's not closely related to the topic.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:30, 7 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Auntof6: Thank you *very much* for your comments - and efforts - they're all appreciated - no problem whatsoever - Thanks again for your help with this - and - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 23:36, 7 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

December 2018

change

We like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but "Earliest known life forms" was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that. Such articles are usually too complex. They need to be simplified before or immediately after being added to the Simple English Wikipedia. In addition, be sure to include attribution on the article's talk page. Thank you. Auntof6 (talk) 00:16, 16 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Auntof6: Thank you for your comments - yes - *entirely* agree - the article was *very recently* created - according to WP:ATT and/or WP:CWW (attribution and related was noted in the edit history of the deleted article) - and was in the process of being improved - and simplified - but apparently - the article, without warning or discussion, was deleted - in any case - Thanks again for your comments - and - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 00:50, 16 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
I agree that the article was properly attributed. However, this was an issue of simplifying, not of where the article came from. The last change to the article had been at 21:21, and it was deleted a few hours later, at 00:15. There was no indication that it was still being worked on (there are header templates that can be used for that). If you'd like to continue working on the article, it can be restored. Then you could either put a template on it (if it's going to be finished fairly soon) or it can be moved to your userspace where you can take your time. I'd be glad to help with either of those options: just let me know. --Auntof6 (talk) 05:02, 16 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Auntof6: Thank you for your reply - and suggested ways of proceeding with creating a Simple Wikipedia version of my originally created "Earliest known life forms" article on the English Wikipedia - they're *greatly* appreciated - a restoration of my older version on Simple Wikipedia may be a possibility - however - I may first try creating a new better (simpler) version on my userspace (or offline) at my next opportunity - in any case - Thanks again for your reply - and - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 14:46, 16 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Auntof6: BRIEF Followup - created a newer version of the "Earliest known life forms" article - the article should now be simpler - and better - please comment if otherwise of course - in any case - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 20:19, 16 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

The page you wrote, Template:Hominin, has been selected for quick deletion. If you think this page should be kept, please add {{wait}} below the line {{QD}} and say why on the talk page.
