Creating your own barnstar is not that difficult, but of course it depends how custom/complex you want it to be. If you just grab your typical barnstar, you can replace the text and image to whatever you want and that is custom enough for me. Prodraxis, I generally prefer my talk page to be left unprotected in case an IP or non-autoconfimred user needs to contact me about an admin actions. Also, I don't think the protection would prevent the vandalism in this case. --Ferien (talk) 15:44, 6 September 2023 (UTC)

Recent changes

• EditInSequence, a feature that allows users to edit pages faster on Wikisource has been moved to a Beta Feature based on community feedback. To enable it, you can navigate to the beta features tab in Preferences. [1]
• As part of the changes for the Generate Audio for IPA and Audio links that play on click wishlist proposals, the inline audio player mode of Phonos has been deployed to all projects. [2]
• There is a new option for Administrators when they are changing the usergroups for a user, to add the user’s user page to their watchlist. This works both via Special:UserRights and via the API. [3]
• One new wiki has been created:
  • a Wikipedia in Talysh (w:tly:) [4]

Problems

• The LoginNotify extension was not sending notifications since January. It has now been fixed, so going forward, you may see notifications for failed login attempts, and successful login attempts from a new device. [5]

• The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 5 September. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 6 September. It will be on all wikis from 7 September (calendar).

Ferien means holidays in German. Also, wasn't the reason why I chose it, but it's a good username in some ways as can be fairly easily changed as a nickname for certain events. For some reason, I hadn't heard of that one before. German also has a bit of an unfair advantage, in that multiple words can be combined to make a word. We don't have that as much in English. Edit summary

Unlike "undo", when I use "Twinkle", I don't find any automatic edit summary for revert action. Is it because I am not aware of any additional information or does that happen to you as well? Friend Help

Ferien, you are amazing and incredible, I really love the mission of this Wikipedia to simplify. I have read the main Wikipedia and a lot of times what you get is jargon. So when I found this Wikipedia, I thought I could make a difference starting with the article on black holes.

Anyways let's get to the chase, Macdonald Ross was so mean. He erased all my work and worst of all he didn't give me a notice. Please help and to make sure it doesn't sound like I'm making myself seem like the good guy.

Yes, it wasn't simple if this Wikipedia was for 4 year olds living under a rock and I did do a dump of the entire Wikipedia article but greatly simplified, so that I can work on improving what is already there. I've been working for hours on it and now it's all gone.

• ORES, the revision evaluation service, is now using a new open-source infrastructure on all wikis except for English Wikipedia and Wikidata. These two will follow this week. If you notice any unusual results from the Recent Changes filters that are related to ORES (for example, "Contribution quality predictions" and "User intent predictions"), please report them. [8]
• When you are logged in on one Wikimedia wiki and visit a different Wikimedia wiki, the system tries to log you in there automatically. This has been unreliable for a long time.
