Legendary Pokémon

They were mostly redlinks, and then I redirected them all to that article because I might plan on continuing what you see in Kanto's section. Thanks for removing them anyways. Blake (Talk·Edits) 19:31, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Aye, I noticed that and removed the redlinks tag that someone put up on the page (I'm assuming that may have been one of the reasons you made the redirect pages). I just removed the tags because 1. you want to try and avoid redirect loops like that and 2. You didn't really need those as links anyway :). Don't worry, there was a reason I didn't put a warning or anything on your page :) I could tell it was totally in good faith.Jamesofur (talk) 19:34, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
I made the redirects so the pages would go to where the most information could be provided on them. I forgot about the links and tag. Blake (Talk·Edits) 19:40, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Quick deletions

Hi...when you request quick deletions, like you did at Hyperphysics index, could you please leave the text of the article intact? When you added the template to the article, you took out the text ("BACON" in this case). It's helpful for the admins to see what's there, and it saves us the step of having to go into the page history to figure it out. Thanks, Either way (talk) 23:10, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

be happy to, actually I generally do unless it's a problem text... sloppy Jamesofur (talk) 23:11, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

IRC

For some reason, I'm having problems connecting to IRC. Is this system-wide or just my connection. Griffinofwales (talk) 03:40, 3 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

The freenode server had a netsplit at 10:15 PM CST. Try connecting to irc.freenode.net. --Bsadowski1 03:41, 3 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
That's what I have it set to. Griffinofwales (talk) 03:43, 3 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
At the moment seems to be your connection, are you getting an error? did you try maybe connecting through the web system to test? it could be a local hub to if your not connecting to the broad hub that will try different freenode servers for the best one. What are you connecting to? irc.freenode.net? maybe try chat.freenode.net... hmmmJamesofur (talk) 03:44, 3 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
I get two different errors: Unable to connect:connection refused, Unable to connect:connection timed out. Griffinofwales (talk) 03:46, 3 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
have you restarted? (IRC program first, if not that comp) sorta sounds like a port issue but would be weird to get suddenly blocked. Jamesofur (talk) 03:47, 3 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, James. Changing from irc.freenode to chat.freenode worked. Griffinofwales (talk) 03:47, 3 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'm having the problem again. I have tried restarting the client, restarting the computer, using different clients, and using irc.freenode and chat.freenode. Nothing works, do you know of a solution? Griffinofwales (talk) 17:45, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yup, *grin* go do something else. ;) -DJSasso (talk) 17:47, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Eclairs

Hi, Jamesofur, I noticed that you nominated Eclairs for speedy deletion as vandalism. I've instead changed it into a redirect to a new article (Éclair). I hope that you are not upset by this, but I felt that getting a new article out of vandalism is a plus for the encyclopedia. Warmly, – Katerenka (talk • contribs) 06:52, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ooops

Sorry, generally I keep an eye over RC... I thought it was a vandalism! --M7 (talk) 21:53, 9 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

No problem :) Brian and I had a laugh over it :) Jamesofur (talk) 21:54, 9 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

QD's

Hey, Thanks for the note, and sorry it has taken be so long to respond. My on Wiki activities are very limited, here and at en at the moment. Who else have you talked to about these pages? Yeah I think that the page, if it is going to stay should be empty, except for the soft redirect template. I would suggest bringing it up at either WP:Simple talk or at WP:RFD and see what other people have to say. I'll make sure to stop by here again in the coming days to see the outcome. Thanks!--Gordonrox24 | Talk 16:58, 17 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! :) I think we're almost done and I'm glad we could get it done as quickly as we did but I wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of PMLinediter or Scream, I hope you don't mind but I stole your barnstar and gave it to scream to :) I had PMLine do a couple more yesterday that I found but I think we may have almost all of the ones we're currently using now, just keeping an eye out for new ones we missed. PS. I wrote this yesterday... when I gave scream the barnstar somehow I screwed up and it never got submitted.....Jamesofur (talk) 15:10, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Antoher proxy vandal?

I just reviewed this revert here, which is recent, so I might as well talk to you.

I've been reviewing New Changes for several hours, and over that period of time have seen much more IP vandalism than I've ever seen before on this Wikipedia (note that I am not counting the edits from the proxy vandal who has been attacking a selective set of editors since I joined this wiki). I am beginning to think that an individual has been using proxies to vandalize for the past few hours, though I don't think it is the one who I mention as "attacking a selective set of editors since I joined this wiki". What do you think? —Mythdon [talk] [changes] 20:24, 22 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello Jamesefur. Thanks for advertice me. I'm going to work better now. I use Huggle to patrol this Wikipedia. It's good to revert with Huggle and put it a change summary or is incorrect? Thanks, --Javierito92 (talk) 21:35, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
