Quick deletion of Vidyasagar Setu
changeThe page you wrote, Vidyasagar Setu, has been selected for quick deletion. If you think this page should be kept, please add {{wait}} below the line {{QD}} and say why on the talk page. If the page is already gone, but you think this was an error, you can ask for it to be undeleted. You can find more information about the reason here. User:Rus793 (talk) 15:18, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
August 2015
changeWe like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but "Vidyasagar Setu" was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that. Such articles are usually too complex. They need to be simplified before or immediately after being added to the Simple English Wikipedia. In addition, be sure to include attribution on the article's talk page. Thank you. Chenzw Talk 08:18, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
- ok! sir, Sorry for that. I'll translate it in simple. -- Tulsi Bhagat (Talk) 09:32, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
- Annual average daily traffic is another article copied from the English Wikipedia with little simplification. I didn't nominate it for a Quick Delete (QD) because the sentences were not that complex. But the wording could be made simpler. Remember we are writing for children, those with certain disabilities or those new to the English language. It also looks unfinished, did you intend to continue editing? I can leave it for now so you can work on it if you want to. You might find help in understanding simplifying in this guideline Wikipedia:How to write Simple English pages. Thank you. Simple vs short
changeIt is OK to copy an article from another wikipedia—if it is simplified and attributed. See the steps to take in Wikipedia:How to copy from another Wikipedia. But making an article short (one or two lines) isn't simplifying it. Articles that are too short are often deleted. Also, Wikipedia is not a dictionary. Short one or two line articles that are also definitions may be moved to the Simple English Wiktionary. Air draft is just such a stub article. I tagged it to move to Wiktionary because as-written it is more appropriate there. But, many articles start off with a definition. So if there is enough information available to make it into a Simple English article, then you may want to add the text before it is moved and deleted. You may prefer to copy a paragraph at a time from another Wikipedia, then simplify the sentences and complex words. Or, you may want to copy the entire article to your Wikipedia:Sandbox. If you do not have a sandbox the Sandbox page will create one for you (or any editor or administrator can create one for you). An article does not have to have everything an English Wikipedia article does, but enough to explain the subject to our readers. Other editors will improve it over time. If you have any questions or need any help you can ask here. You can also post questions at any time to Wikipedia:Simple talk. Thank you User:Rus793 (talk) 16:27, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
Thermal insulation article
changeHello, Tulsi Bhagat. Thanks for bringing this article to our attention by nominating it for deletion. Are you familiar with the Quick deletion (QD) process we use here? It is a simpler, quicker process than the Requests for deletion (RFD) process that you used. Some specific types of pages can be deleted through the QD process. You could have proposed the thermal insulation article for quick deletion because there was no meaningful information in it.
The QD process is easier for both the person wanting an article deleted and the administrator who deletes it. I encourage you to learn about it and use it instead of RFD when there is a QD option that fits. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about this. --Auntof6 (talk) 07:57, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
user language categories
changeHi, Tulsi. I noticed that you added the "user en" category to your user page. Did you know there are templates you can put on your user page that will add that kind of category for you? You can find them under Category:User languages. The templates for English are in categories under Category:User en. I see that we don't have templates for Maithili, but we can create them if you want -- let me know if you'd like help with that.
By the way, I see that you are in Nepal. Were you affected by the big earthquakes in April and May this year? --Auntof6 (talk) 21:13, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
- Ofcourse Auntof, I'll put the templates and Sure, I'll help. Yeah that's true, we were affected. -- Tulsi Bhagat (Talk) 06:28, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
Recent QD and RfD requests
changeIf you have noticed, some of the articles you requested be deleted have been improved and kept. The most recent, I think, is Savings account. In this and other instances (the ones I've noticed) you were correct in asking for the deletion, based on the article’s content. However, improving such an article is another option. Wikipedia:BOLD tells editors to go for it, be bold. One aspect of that is if you see something that needs doing (and you can), do it. If an article needs improving (and you can), go ahead and improve it. It is a responsibility of editors to do what they can to help. But it is up to the individual editor to determine if he or she has the capability, the time and/or resources to improve an article. So you were right to nominate this article, but I just wanted you to know why another editor improved it. We try to consider what is best for the readers. Thank you User:Rus793 (talk) 14:39, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
- @Rus793: Alright! I'll try my best improving articles rather than adding QD tag. Thanks alot 4 ur suggestion. Regards, Tulsi Bhagat (Talk) 05:00, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
November 2015
changeHello! Thank you for creating Category:Languages of Nepal. However, we normally need at least three pages in a category before it is created. Because categories are a way to group together similar articles, there is no need to create a new category for just one or two articles. If you think there might be more pages to add to the new category, please add them now. Thank you. Auntof6 (talk) 07:07, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
- @Auntof6: Oh! Sorry, Regards, Tulsi Bhagat (Talk) 13:25, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
Notes on user talk pages
change- When you revert vandalism, please leave an appropriate notice on that user's talk page. The notices are at WP:User talk page warnings. Thanks! Macdonald-ross (talk) 10:57, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
- @Macdonald-ross: Alright, I'll do. Regards, Tulsi Bhagat (Talk) 14:59, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi
changePeterdownunder told me it's OK if a user gets doublewarned as it lets them know they've been widely noticed. Krett12 (talk) 05:17, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Krett12: No, it has been unseen by me because of low internet connection. -- Tulsi Bhagat (Talk) 05:20, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- I don't understand what that means, but it's not a big deal, so I'm fine with not bugging you for an answer anymore. Krett12 (talk) 05:29, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Krett12: Oh! great. Nice to talk with you. -- Tulsi Bhagat (Talk) 05:31, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

Adding warnings when QDing via Twinkle
changeHi there! I just wanted to let you know that if you're going to be nominating articles for QD through Twinkle, you also need to add a warning about creating inapporiate pages on their talkpage besides the notification of QD. This is in regards to User talk:39.37.154.164: if you look at his talk page you will see I have now added the warning. Thanks, Milo, Talk, Contribs 12:15, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Not all cases of QD need an inappropriate page warning. If a page was created in good faith but QD is requested for some deficiency or technical reason, I wouldn't consider that page inappropriate. --Auntof6 (talk) 13:01, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
