April 2024 Iranian strikes against Israel

13 April 2024 military strikes in West Asia

On April 13, 2024, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), along with the Popular Mobilization Forces, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, launched attacks on Israel and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.[29] Iran named it as Operation True Promise (in Persian: وعده صادق;"va'de-ye sadeq").[30] They used drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. These attacks were in response to Israeli bombing of the Iranian consulate in Damascus on April 1.

It was the first direct military clash between Iran and Israel in their ongoing conflict. Iran's envoy to the United Nations stated on April 14 that the attacks can be thought as "finished".[31] The United States, United Kingdom, and Jordan helped Israel by using their air forces to intercept Iranian missiles. One person was injured by part of a missile, and 31 others suffered minor injuries. Israeli Forces claimed they intercepted most of the Iranian projectiles.[32]
