July 2022 change

Hello! Thank you for creating Category:Russian horror movies. However, we normally need at least three pages in a category before it is created. Because categories are a way to group together similar articles, there is no need to create a new category for just one or two articles. If you think there might be more pages to add to the new category, please add them now. Thank you. MathXplore (talk) 07:02, 21 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Done. Nikolai Kurbatov (talk) 07:07, 21 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Movie articles change

Hello! Thanks for your work in creating all of the Russian/Soviet movie articles, it's an area where we have really few articles. Hopefully someday they can be updated to include more context (like a short plot summary or setting), but something is better than nothing. Vermont 🐿️ (talk) 03:42, 30 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Quick deletion of The Girl Reporter change

The page you wrote, The Girl Reporter, has been selected for quick deletion. If you think this page should be kept, please add {{wait}} below the line {{QD}} and say why on the talk page. If the page is already gone, but you think this was an error, you can ask for it to be undeleted. You can find more information about the reason here. Gotanda (talk) 09:45, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

This one was in error. The one below is correct. My apologies. But really, we do not need a large quantity of basically empty stub articles or copies from elsewhere. I would like to suggest you stop mass producing low quality articles and start adding details in simple language to the very many articles you have already started here. --Gotanda (talk) 09:49, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Do not revert tags such as Quick Deletion requests change

Your reversion of In the Rear of the Enemy, The Girl of the Northern Woods, and The Girl Reporter was not constructive. Leave the tags there for an administrator to decide, please. That is their job. They may well agree with you and disagree with me, but it is their decision. --Gotanda (talk) 03:46, 6 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, ok. I wrote the plots in my own words in the articles that you have set for deletion. Check, please! Nikolai Kurbatov (talk) 04:07, 6 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I’d say they still need to be simplified InfernoGaming46 (IG46) (talk / changes) 04:08, 6 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

I see that this was simplified after I had marked it A#. The simplification is good. It is better to do that from the beginning than to just copy sections and leave them for later. Thanks. --Gotanda (talk) 23:39, 6 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Movie stars change

If you're going to list the stars of a movie in a sentence, you should probably put "and" before the last name. Also, do these movies each have three stars or are you just taking the first three names listed somewhere? Not all movies have exactly three main actors. Lights and freedom (talk) 06:16, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Ok. I take the first three. Nikolai Kurbatov (talk) 06:27, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
It should be , and. Leave the comma.
Also, actors is simpler than cast for two reasons: it is more frequent in English, and it has only one meaning unlike cast which can mean many things. I have changed a few, please change the rest as you go. --Gotanda (talk) 06:44, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Why should there be a comma before and? I watched a number of popular films (Titanic, Gladiator, The Godfather). There is no comma when listing actors before "and" before the last one. Nikolai Kurbatov (talk) 06:51, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
In fact, either including or excluding the comma could be correct, depending on style choice: see en:Serial comma. Lights and freedom (talk) 06:54, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello Nikolai, your rapid edits are flooding the recent changes feed. If you'd like, I can grant you the flood flag since these changes appear to be uncontroversial enough and they are done on articles you created yourself. This will hide your changes from the feed, but that means I'll have to monitor your edits. What do you say? — *Fehufangą✉ Talk page 07:12, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello. I'm not against. Nikolai Kurbatov (talk) 07:13, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I have granted the flag for one hour. Keep in mind that I'm granting this only for minor copyedits on your own articles. If you're done or need an extension, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks. — *Fehufangą✉ Talk page 07:16, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Lebedev against Lebedev change

Hi, I have moved "Lebedev against Lebedeva" back to Lebedev against Lebedev, as you originally titled it. Hope that is correct. Lights and freedom (talk) 06:52, 9 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi! Yes, that's more correct. Thank you! Nikolai Kurbatov (talk) 06:55, 9 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

June 2023 change

Hello, Nikolai Kurbatov! Here at Simple English Wikipedia we use the section heading "Other websites" instead of English Wikipedia's "External links", which you used in "Mark Szaranek". This makes it simpler and easier to read. Please remember to use "Other websites" in articles that you create in the future. Thank you for your help! MathXplore (talk) 07:13, 4 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

OK, thank you! Nikolai Kurbatov (talk) 07:17, 4 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Abû 'Uthmân Sa'îd ibn Hakam al Qurashi change

If you're going to use a non-English word, like "Ra’îs", especially if there is no link, please explain what it means. Lights and freedom (talk) 04:13, 13 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Mass creation of pentathletes and other athletes change

"Took part in" is more complex and less specific than competed in. Please keep things simple. See my change to Colin_Hamilton and please fix the others before creating more with that same boilerpate. In the future, you might want to check the language you use before creating dozens of afticles with the same problem. It will save a lot of time and effort. Thanks, --Gotanda (talk) 10:44, 23 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Also, please use {{sports-bio-stub}} instead. Thanks. Minorax (talk) 14:16, 15 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please use surnames, not given names. See this example: https://simple.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tami_Jameson&diff=8946595&oldid=8946456 Thanks, --Gotanda (talk) 07:35, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Categories for new articles change

You can put your new articles in categories like Category:Brazilian Olympians, Category:Brazilian Olympic medalists, and Category:Brazilian volleyball players. Epsilon-Minus Semi-Moron (talk) 02:20, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

RfD nomination of Noor Ahmad change

An editor has requested deletion of Noor Ahmad, a page you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Please comment on the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2023/Noor Ahmad and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns. But you should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you very much. fr33kman 02:26, 5 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Flood flag change

Hi, it looks like you're making a lot of edits very quickly, and are flooding the recent changes. Would you like to have the flood flag? If so, how many more changes do you plan to make/ — *Fehufangą✉ Talk page 09:00, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello! I think for 1-2 hours. Nikolai Kurbatov (talk) 09:01, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I've given you the flag for two hours. Let me know if you still intend to make repetitive changes after the flag expires. Thanks! — *Fehufangą✉ Talk page 09:03, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
