A few notes about this article:

• When you have a sentence like the first one in this article, something in the form "John Doe is an American writer who received the Pulitzer Prize", that sentence needs to be split in two. The example sentence I just used would be, "John Doe is an American writer. He received the Pulitzer Prize." This is part of simplifying.
• Please use "movie" instead of "film".
• When you start a new paragraph, please start it with the person's name instead of "he" or "she".
• Please leave two blank lines before a stub template.
• When writing about American topics, please use the American date format. For example, say "March 2, 1914" instead of "2 March 1914". Also use the same date format in the whole article: this article had one format in the text and another in the infobox.

Hi, Angela. A couple of things about this article.

• What does it mean where is says the song was "accepted" by critics?
• Please add some references to the article. The best thing to have a reference for is where it says the song reached #1 on the UK chart -- that's the main thing that shows notability of this song.
• When you use the term "single" in a music-related article, please link it as I have done in this article. In this meaning, "single" is not simple because it is jargon.

Vivian Dandridge

Some notes about this article:

• Please try to make categories as specific as possible. When someone is from a major city like Cleveland, there is probably a category for people from that city. In this case, there were two relevant Cleveland categories to use.
• The first time you mention a person's name in an article, you use their whole name or the name by which they are best known. After that, you use just their surname. (The exception to this is people like Madonna or Cher who are best known by just a given name.) See en:MOS:SURNAME for more info on this.
• Your text said that Dandridge "starred in the 1940 movie Irene alongside Billie Burke". Dandridge did not star in that movie: her role was small and uncredited. (In fact, most of her film roles were uncredited.) When you say someone "stars" in a movie, it means they have one of the main roles in it. When the person has a lesser role, you can say that they "acted", "appeared", or "were" in it.

Girls article

Angela, this article needed a lot of work.

The main thing was the statement that the show had won several awards, and the reference you had for that. The reference was only about Peabody Awards, not "several" awards. References must support the text that they follow, and this one did not support it. Also, mentioning the several awards is very vague; although this was the only thing that implied notability, saying that someone or something has won awards, without specifying which awards, does not show notability. I removed the vague statement and added a section on the awards that the show has won; some of the entries in that section have references.

The main other thing I did was add categories for some of the awards the show has won. Any time you create an article about someone or something that has won major awards, look to see if we have categories for those awards.

I know you've said that you want to be an admin some day. The issue with the references is very important. Anyone wanting admin rights has to understand it and get it right. Angela, neither of the references in this article was valid.

The first reference didn't support the statement it followed, so I removed it. The idea of a reference is to give the source of a statement in the Wikipedia article. You don't just throw in sources that have something to do with the subject and leave it at that: a reference has to support the statement that appears right before it. The first reference you gave is in the enwiki article, but it's with a different piece of information that it ended up with in the article here.

The second reference is a dead link. I flagged it as a dead link.

I see that you changed the references in the article. However, the new references also do not support the statements they go with.

The first reference follows the statement "It was the first recorded Category 5 storm to hit Fiji," but the reference doesn't say that.

The second reference follows the statement " It killed twenty-eight people," but the reference doesn't say that: it says 20 people. The information at the reference might have been written before they had a total count of how many people were killed, so it doesn't have the higher number.

Besides not supporting the statements in the article here, neither reference has the correct title. The title should be the title as shown on the website where the reference is. --Auntof6 (talk) 04:53, 23 February 2016 (UTC)

Attribution for Rachel Griffiths

Hi, Angela. I saw that you added attribution on Talk:Rachel Griffiths. The attribution notice points to the enwiki article as it existed on 16 February 2016. (As of right now, that is the current version.) However, that can't be the correct attribution, because the article here was created in 2013. The 2016 version wouldn't have existed then. The attribution notice needs to point to the version of the enwiki article that was used as a basis for the article at the time it was created.

Hi, Angela. Thanks for including references in the articles you create. I just wanted to mention one thing. When you bring a reference from an enwiki article, please don't shorten the value for the title parameter. The value should be the actual title used at the linked page. For example, you used a title of "Legionella" for the first references in Legionnaires' disease. Some notes

I have these comments about some of the articles you created recently.

• 2016 Grand-Bassam shootings: When writing about people dying, just use the word "die". Don't use euphemisms like "passed away", "took the lives of", etc. You can read about this at en:WP:EUPHEMISM.
• Valproate: On Wikipedia, the word medicine is used to mean the scientific field, not to mean medication. When talking about a specific medication, use the word drug.
• Hay fever: The phrase such as gets misused a lot, and it was misused here. It shouldn't be used to introduce a list of examples of something. Instead of saying "allergens, such as pollen, pet hair and mold", you could say "allergens, including pollen, pet hair and mold", or "allergens, for example pollen, pet hair and mold".

Deaths related to the 2016 Kumamoto earthquakes

Hi, Angela. When you write in an article that someone has died, please use plain language. In this article, you used the word perished. Just use the word died. Other words and phrases like passed away, lost his life, etc. are euphemisms and are not to be used (except when quoting someone who used them). This is an encyclopedia, and we use plain, straightforward language. I know I've mentioned this before. You can read more about this at en:WP:EUPHEMISM. Let me know if you have any questions. I know that I've questioned your commentary you add onto edit summaries when you create new articles in the past. I really think your edit summary today when creating the Orlando shooting article is in poor taste. The idea of the shooting "coming to our town" is terrible. The event is extremely tragic and shouldn't have such a casual remark associated with it like that. Please reexamine the commentary you make when creating articles. Final warnings

Angela, the "only" warning you gave to the IP user 107.161.102.146 was not appropriate because there had been no previous warnings. There are very few cases when "only" warnings should be issued. When leaving warnings, please start with lower levels. Level one is preferable for a first warning. Level 2 can be used in particularly bad cases. There's usually no need to start with a higher level even in severe cases. Warnings are used to explain to people that we don't allow just any kind of edit here.
