The page incorrectly states 5 people died on January 6. Ashley Babbitt was the only person that died Jan 6.

  • Popes have a fairly long history of criticizing world leaders including US presidents. And put in perspective, this is by a pope who supports people's right to illegally enter the US. We are presently hearing from everyone who doesn't like something Trump has said, has done, plans to do or might do. Rus793 (talk) 16:26, 18 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

"Incumbent" -> "Current"

change

Should "Incumbent" be changed to "Current"? Xinbenlv (talk) 14:20, 17 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Incumbent means current, Alex Devens (talk) 17:40, 3 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
They are referring to the fact we use Simple English at this wiki and are suggesting it might be simpler to use Current. -DJSasso (talk) 15:53, 4 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose It is fairly standard to remove the presidency topic from the personal topic when it comes to leaders. And I think in the case of this president it is even more important than usual to do that because of how extensive the notability of both topics are separate from each other. The presidency, doesn't just refer to his position, but it includes his entire administration and cabinet which would not be relevant on a page about him the person. -DJSasso (talk) 14:32, 30 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
  •   Oppose - A separate page is no problem as long as it is notable and does not fail WP:NOT. In this case, the page meets notability and passes WP:NOT. Arthurfan828 - CHAT 16:23, 7 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • '  Oppose': This page would become too long and since his presidency has not ended yet, we dont know how long the page might become Matthewishere0 (talk) 21:11, 5 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Re: Bias removal

change

To the anonymous editor currently re-adding what was removed: Your assertion that CNN and MSNBC's claims are false are not supported by the op-ed that you keep citing - which at a casual glance does not mention any specific claims, or even the networks themselves. The afterthought attempt to subsequently "balance" this addition with NBC and CNN articles on subjects unrelated to the claims seems especially transparent in light of that - so I undid them all.

Furthermore, note that your edit history is publicly accessible, and as you have previously injected your own personal biases into other articles prior to this, I am doubtful as to the integrity of your attempts to "reduce bias" that so far only seem to be injecting a "positive bias" instead - which as you'll note is still a bias. --Umbire the Phantom (talk) 04:21, 28 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Most edits of unnamed editors in the last few weeks have been vandlaism/adding graffitti. I have therefore semi-protected the page for 2 months. This means that only autoconfirmed users can edit it during that time. I will also open up the discussion here: If you see something that needs changing, please discuss the edit here, an autoconfirmed user can then make the edit, if the community agrees.--Eptalon (talk) 16:30, 25 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Cabinet members

change

Right now, Trump's cabinet members are not listed. Instead, his nominees for the cabinet are listed, as part of his presidential transition. Who was in the cabinet is more important than who he was planning to nominate, so it would probably be better if they were listed in his presidency section instead. Most of the cabinet positions were held by more than one person during his presidency; only the first holder of each position is currently listed. Lights and freedom (talk) 04:00, 19 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Lights and freedom: Sounds reasonable. If all we have is a list, as opposed to a play-by-play description of nominations and confirmations, it makes more sense to list people who actually served. Go for it! -- Auntof6 (talk) 04:54, 19 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

There is no date for the trial in Florida [as of July 5]; Trump's lawyers have asked the judge, if Trump can get a "chance to argue the immunity issue", in front of the judge "between now and early September, effectively pausing all other proceedings in the case by two months."

Info needs to be added to section "Election obstruction case (in federal court)"

change

Please insert (the following), in front of paragraph: This Election obstruction case, is sometimes called the "federal election case in Washington D.C." Trump is charged with conspiring to subvert the 2020 election, according to media".

The judge (in the trial) "has scheduled a Sept. 5 hearing to set a course for the case", according to media.[1] Furthermore, during the previous month, a new "indictment [... removed] some specific allegations against Trump".[1]

Election obstruction case (in federal court)

change

Please update the first paragraph, with the following:

Trump is being prosecuted (as of 2024), "for trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election".[1] Special counsel Jack Smith asked (November 2024) the court to remove "the remaining deadlines in the pretrial schedule" of the case.[2] About the chances of the case going to trial: "there’s still [a possibility, or] a narrow window" for that to happen, according to Politico.com.[3] The case is being handled by a lower court in the federal court system.[3]
