MYSPACE

Howdy. Congrats on the unblock. However, this edit looks a bit like myspacing to me, which, as I am sure you are aware, is not allowed on Wikipedia. It is, therefore, probably not the best thing to be doing hours after an unblock, particularly when it was one of the things that contributed to one of your previous bans. Remember, your edits are being watched by many, so do try and keep away from areas that caused your banning in the first place. Cheers, Goblin 00:55, 22 March 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Clementina!Reply

No it isn't Gobby, I'm afraid it's you splitting hairs, and not for the first time. That edit was justified because it was merely an update of similar information already there. Can we all agree not to start picking on Aaron right away please? Let's just wait a few days and see-- if you then have something to say, say it. But, let's not sit hovering over every edit he makes! Remember, he was banned for POV, not MYSPACE. fr33kman 01:33, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
If I'm splitting hairs then so were the other four or so editors who actually brought the edit to my attention in the first place - I didn't see it and am not actively looking for 'bad' edits, however none of the other editors were able to bring it up at the time for a number of reasons and so I said that I would. Many apologies if my message came across that way as that was not the intention of it. This isn't picking, it was a friendly reminder just to avoid myspacing, particularly so early on - editing your userspace isn't normally the first thing you would do after being unblocked. Goblin 01:37, 22 March 2011 (UTC) I ♥ PeterSymonds!Reply
Not to split hairs, but he was also banned for MYSPACE, not just POV. The whole issue of his story in his userspace etc. So BG is correct in that it is a bit strange that the first thing he does is something of that nature. That being said in this case probably not a huge deal. Just something he should watch himself about. -DJSasso (talk) 11:42, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Congrats on unblock

Hello, CR90, and congratulations on being unblocked. During your "artistic pause", the team of SimpleWP changed a little. I hope you find your way around in the changed envirnoment, and wish you good luck editing here. All the best --Eptalon (talk) 09:52, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, any advice?--   Christnrockr90  11:22, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
None that I haven't given you already. Basically, focus on article work, avoid drama. --Eptalon (talk) 11:25, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

I restored rollback to your account as you had it when banned, and I have added patroller as I know you know how to create new articles. fr33kman 04:16, 23 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

RfD nomination of Cabot High School

A user has nominated Cabot High School, an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2011/Cabot High School and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns but should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you..

I'm afraid it seems an ordinary school, and as such should be deleted as not notable, as have several others in the archives. G. --Bärliner (talk) 13:03, 30 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Wrestlemania XXVII

1990hornet

  Resolved.

1990hornet is not registered at all. Either register it, or delete the page so that it can be used in case someone ever tries to create this account. Thank you, Either way (talk) 02:09, 6 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

It is registered, on en and as such it would not allow me to create it here due to SUL reasons.--   CR90  02:10, 6 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
So SUL it here...? Goblin 10:06, 6 April 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Barras!Reply
I'm trying to get that taken care of, be patient please.--   CR90  22:12, 6 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Login, "Unify my account", job done. What's so difficult...? Goblin 01:25, 8 April 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Pmlineditor!Reply
The part where I don't own the account, Alison created the account for me on enWP for this purpose so only she has the password and I'm trying to contact her.--   CR90  01:26, 8 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
If it's not edited just request a usurp, much quicker. And/or create an account and usurp it here to get the SUL. Much quicker, again. Goblin 01:28, 8 April 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Microchip08!Reply
I didn't think of that. But how to go about it :S--   CR90  01:31, 8 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

How SEPTA et. al find so many pages to delete

On the new changes portal, there's a link to New Pages. That's how they do it. Septa and others, including me from time to time, look at pages that have been recently created and determine if they need to be QDed or RFDed Purplebackpack89≈≈≈≈ 04:44, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Also, I check maintenance pages e.g. Category:Category needed and Special:WithoutInterwiki (no interwikis to any Wikipedia sometimes means it's a hoax, reads like an ad, etc.) to answer your question. --SEPTActaMTA8235 11:48, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

You right, I noticed that, I'm gonna re-evaulate my vote right now. chrisianrocker90 23:06, 24 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Nice, very forgiving....

This edit is completely and utterly unnecessary given the discussion ongoing. You've shown your true colours. Very unpleasant. The Rambling Man (talk) 23:12, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

It is fact, the user is blocked indef at the moment should he be unblocked then the template can be removed. I have done nothing wrong. chrisianrocker90 23:16, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
I think what he was getting at was that it was in poor taste to do it right now with a discussion going on. Think about how you would have felt if someone did it to you. -DJSasso (talk) 23:17, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
I know exactly how I felt. And I'm sorry if it hurts him. But the truth is the truth. chrisianrocker90 23:20, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
No, your version of the truth is not the truth. Don't be vindictive. The Rambling Man (talk) 23:20, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
If you want to remove it go right ahead, there was nothing "vindictive" about it. chrisianrocker90 23:21, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
It would be much better if you removed it, after all it was you that showed your vindictiveness in doing that mid-way through discussion over the status of this editor. The Rambling Man (talk) 23:23, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
You realize CR that this was the kind of behavior that had people not wanting to let you come back? I urge you to dial it down. Don't make people regret letting you back. Lord knows I have had my issues with Kennedy since he seemingly flipped his lid, but I am at least willing to let there be a discussion to see if he should come back. Just as you had. -DJSasso (talk) 23:24, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
The honest to God truth is I have nothing against Kennedy and am very willing to let the discussion happen. I only put that becuse I thought it was standard procedure for indef blocked users. There was no malice. No hate. You two are reading way too much in to it, I will go remove it. chrisianrocker90 23:27, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
Maybe I did read too much into it, but you do seem quite angry about the whole situation. That's all I am saying. -DJSasso (talk) 23:28, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
I will honestly admit I am a little angry, but I'm doing my up most to be fair and keep a level head. chrisianrocker90 23:30, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Templates

Regarding this edit. I have reverted the edit. Currently the status of the block/ban is unclear, and it may be reversed. The editor also still has a chance to speak on his or her talk page. Please do not tag the page until the current discussion, which you are also a part of, concludes. Respectfully, Jon@talk:~$ 23:27, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Simple Talk

I had removed your 4th July post, it was not neutrally worded, nor did it relate to the project. Remember that this is an international project. Jon@talk:~$ 20:51, 4 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Four things. one, I did it in 2008 with no complaints (well there was one about it stretching the page which I tended to in this post), two, neutral? How is being happy POV pushing? and three if you read the ST header it says general discussion. and four the head to "For the Americans" which noted I know there are other nationalities here. chrisianrocker90 21:28, 4 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
(e/c)Was that really necessary to remove it? Not neutrally worded? He was celebrating a national holiday and said "to the Americans". We all say merry Christmas to each other but no-one stops to think that's it's not neutral to those who do not celebrate Christmas. I think you should have left it, even if you disagreed with it's intent it was still done in good faith... CR90: happy independence day! Down with the British! Your new signature

here. It fails en:Wikipedia:SIG#Images. Please change it, thanks. Albacore (talk · changes) 17:42, 3 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

I tend to think that this smiley was added only for that edit and is not in CR90's signature as the previous edit to T:TDYK, just 11 minutes before the one linked, did not have the template. Of course, I may be wrong, and in that case, the signature does violate this and ought to be changed. Regards, Pmlineditor (t · c · l) 18:39, 3 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Even so, the sig is excessively long (6 lines!). So I would suggest you change it per en:wp:SIG. Albacore (talk · changes) 21:08, 3 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Not appropriate

This edit has been undone per the discussion that recently took place here. I find it slightly odd that you would post something just days after a discussion gets archived - which you started - that is pretty clear on not including these sorts of things publicly. Furthermore, as this is not the first time this has been mentioned to you, consider this an 'only warning', and if it happens again I won't hesitate to begin further discussions on your position at the wiki. We're not here to act childishly and immaturely; we're here to build a wiki and if you don't like that, move along please. As you have been told time and again - if you want to leave such messages, do it on individual talk pages. Goblin 15:07, 31 December 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Juliancolton!Reply

Grr, I have to endorse the above. I get it. I get it that wishing Happy New Year does not carry (at least none that I'm aware of) religious or cultural undertones... then again it may. I don't know. I do know that this has been an area of controversy and you are skating that line. Don't do it again. Best, Jon@talk:~$ 21:34, 31 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

This was brought up on IRC by CR90 just now, and we've established amongst ourselves that New Year is religious, as it's the Christian calendar - there are several other calendars in use so it is by no means universal. To selectively quote some comments (All with permission, save for the one by CR90 which was posted in my personal channel which has no rules against public logging.).
  • New Year is religious... technically. We go by BC/AD, revolving around the date Jesus was born... (Normandy)
  • And, fwiw, I'm hardly being uptight as I celebrate NY. However I do so without wiki-wide messages which as I say you have been warned about. I know people that don't celebrate NY, so your point is moot. (Me)
  • CRRaysHead90: January 1st is the first day of the "Gregorian calendar, also known as the Western calendar, or Christian calendar". (Normandy)
I rest my case. Goblin 21:41, 31 December 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Dendodge!Reply
(e/c) See User_talk:Bluegoblin7#...from_User_talk:CRRaysHead90.23Not_appropriate for the full post before it was removed. I also remind CR90 that it is not appropriate to remove or alter other user's comments, even when on their own talk page. Goblin 22:22, 31 December 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Orashmatash!Reply
  • What I see here is a final warning given because of a comment regarding having a good 2012 on the Wiki based on a discussion where no real consensus was gathered. Doesn't really make sense to me... Especially because, unlike the Christmas message which was, admittedly, off topic, this message actually had relevance to the wiki.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 22:37, 31 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
With respect, Gordon, you haven't fully grasped the point. There is an underlying issue that CR90 thinks that it is acceptable to blanket-post any and every holiday that relates to himself onto this wiki regardless of the views of any other members on the wiki. He has been told time and again to not post these messages, yet he continues to do so, going against the "wishes" of the community. This is not the first discussion that has been had on it either, and all of which have resulted in the same 'lean-not appropriate' viewpoint. Of course, ultimately it is up to the site's administration if any action is taken should this occur again, but the only/final warning is appropriate considering the warnings received in the past. Editing other users comments

You know you're not really allowed to edit other users comments even if it is on your talk page... Normandy 22:20, 31 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

As above. Jon@talk:~$ 22:35, 31 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
You can alternatively, remove the entire section from your talk page... just not parts of it as to affect the meaning of a single comment or conversation. But, you can remove an entire section. Jon@talk:~$ 22:35, 31 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
I removed my comment I asked him not to post, I did nothing wrong, again. CRRaysHead90 | We Believe! 22:40, 31 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Caution

As I have confirmed with you in chat, and gave you your warning there, I am doing so here as a record of that. Take this as a very final warning from if. If you ever do anything like that again, I will block you indef, and wait for another admin to adjust block length *if* the community wishes. This is a very final warning with regards to offsite conduct harassing towards another editor on this project. Jon@talk:~$ 00:21, 1 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Retired?

Could you please clarify if you are retired or not? The administrators did not take any further action in regards to your off-wiki abuse of an editor because you removed yourself from this website. Continuing to edit afterwards is not 'retiring' and as such I may re-open that discussion if you are continuing to edit here. Can you please clarify your position? Regards, Normandy 12:11, 17 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I'm retired, I only edited because this is such an important decision. I'm gone again. Bye. CRRaysHead90 | We Believe! 20:11, 17 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
