Please remember that Simple Wikipedia has a reciprocal ban rule that you can find at Wikipedia:Blocks_and_bans#Reciprocal. Since you're blocked on English Wikipedia, you'll have to be careful here because similar behavior could lead to a block here. Make sure you focus on improving articles and not playing in your user space like you did on the English Wikipedia. Only (talk) 22:01, 14 January 2016 (UTC)

I have this infobox on my user page(Shown on the right). It doesn't display the data for data1. Why is that? PokestarFan (talk) 21:43, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- I see that you deleted the section on your user page with the data1 paramaeter, but it looks like it's displaying it here. Do you mean that it's red linked? That's because those pages don't exist -- they did exist, but they were deleted. If that's not what you mean, you can reply here and explain further. --Auntof6 (talk) 17:32, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

Quick deletion of Tower-defense games
The page you wrote, Tower-defense games, has been selected for quick deletion. If you think this page should be kept, please add {{wait}} below the line {{QD}} and say why on the talk page. If the page is already gone, but you think this was an error, you can ask for it to be undeleted. You can find more information about the reason here. Ipadguy (talk) 23:55, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

RfD nomination of Bloons Tower Defense
An editor has requested deletion of Bloons Tower Defense, an article you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Please comment on the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2016/Bloons Tower Defense and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns. But you should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you very much. Lithorien (talk) 09:17, 17 January 2016 (UTC)

Stub templates
Hi PokestarFan. Unfortunately, I had to delete Template:Language-stub and Category:Language stubs. On this project, the community has to approve each new stub type before they are created. You can propose new stub types at Wikipedia talk:Simple Stub Project.
I'd also like to know what the purpose of Template:Founding Fathers of the United States is? You haven't used it anywhere, so I'm not sure what it's supposed to do. Navboxes are supposed to be purely navigational tools, for convenient access to related articles. They shouldn't really contain any facts. Osiris (talk) 06:52, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
- If you're not going to use it, can we delete it? Osiris (talk) 04:40, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Please do not leave notes via amboxes in articles like you did here. This is not an appropriate use of amboxes. If you have an issue with the references, you can use a standard template, leave a note on the talk page, or fix it yourself. Only (talk) 21:16, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
Deaths in 2016
Hello PokestarFan! I'm glad Me, Jonny & Auntof6 aren't the only users eyeing and editing Deaths in 2016! But you see we empty the article into the separate deaths in January 2016 when the month is over. We are following the English Wikipedia model of Deaths in 2016. It's very simple and easy. The transition goes rather smoothly. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 02:00, 22 January 2016 (UTC) @TDKR Chicago 101: mI understand. I was doing it the way I saw in the 2014&2015 Deaths. QDs
One tag is enough for QDs. You don't need to add more after another has. I'm not sure why you needed to edit Johann Weyer 7 times after another user had already tagged it for deletion. Only (talk) 22:12, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
- Anyone can edit any article they like. And if it was in an attempt to save the article from deletion I do not see any problem with it. Just because a article is tagged for deletion does not mean it will 100% surely be deleted. regards,--Sinbad (talk) 22:14, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
- You're confused. Every edit he made was to add additional QD templates or notes to those QD templates. He wasn't doing anything to edit the article itself. He was just adding superfluous QD tags. Only (talk) 22:34, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

January 2016
I have reverted the changes you made to template:Usertalkheader. It was causing unwelcome changes to my user page, and presumably to the user pages of others who use the template. Next time, please discuss changes you want to make to major templates at WP:ST, or simply subst the template for your own use. Etamni | ✉ | ✓ 01:14, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
Care to explain?
This edit doesn't appear to be valid or constructive. An IP editor reverted it. Do you care to explain what happened? Etamni | ✉ | ✓ 02:37, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
- PokestarFan, I deleted and hid your response because it included information that you should not disclose. If you would like more explanation, please email me. To reply to what you said, please don't practice things on other users' pages. --Auntof6 (talk) 16:47, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
Your recent warnings
Your two recent warnings (here and here) were inappropriate. Editors are free to express their own opinions on people, not to mention that the edit was on a user talk page. You have no right to be barging in on their conversation like that. Please don't do it again. Chenzw Talk 00:09, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
Final warning: reciprocal ban
Please consider this a final warning about your behavior. When you first arrived here, I welcomed you and linked you to our reciprocal ban policy. Again, this policy says that you can be blocked here for the same duration as your English Wikipedia block (indefinite in your case). Lately, you've had a lot of behaviors that have had to be addressed by other users. I've also noticed you focusing a lot on your user space at times, something that led to your block on the English Wikipedia. If you continue on this path, you will be blocked indefinitely either by myself or another editor. Please focus on improving articles and the project and not trying to "police" it in other ways. Only (talk) 00:26, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
Requests for deletion
When you create an RfD, you need to add it to Wikipedia:Requests for deletion#Current deletion request discussions. If you don't, people won't see it.
On your request for the founding fathers template, I deleted it under WP:QD#G7. You might like to become familiar with the QD options: using those where applicable is an easier process than RfD and is preferred.
On Ipadguy's edit notice, deleting a blocked user's pages is not a matter for the community to decide. With something like that, you can ask the admins directly about deleting it or just don't worry about it: that page isn't hurting anything and the user may be unblocked at some point. --Auntof6 (talk)
Famous companies category
PokestarFan, I deleted this category that you created because it was an inappropriate category. There is no subjective measure to say what companies are famous and which aren't. Besides that, it isn't encyclopedic. If you disagree with this, you can discuss it or bring it up at Wikipedia:Deletion review. --Auntof6 (talk) 02:28, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
Editing of user talk pages
Please do not edit other editors' talk pages to fix mistakes, unless you were asked to help or it is to fix something that will break the wiki. This was not a good reason to edit his talk page. By editing it needlessly you triggered another unnecessary "new messages" notification (and even possibly email, for some users) Please do not do it again. Chenzw Talk 09:47, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
- By the way, users can delete messages from their own talk page. There is no need to get into a revert war. //nepaxt 21:32, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

Welcoming users
Please welcome users only after they have shown that they are making good edits. You welcomed the IP user 99.90.196.227, but their edits aren't what I'd call good. You've been asked this before and said you would stop. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 10:14, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Auntof6:I thought that they had to make edits before I could welcome them. How am I supposed to know if their edits are good edits? PokestarFan (talk) 11:27, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
- By looking at the edits to see what they did. The edits made by that IP user weren't constructive. --Auntof6 (talk) 16:25, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) That is actually a very weird question to be asking. I am not sure if you are aware, but you can see all of a particular user's contributions at Special:Contributions. Alternatively, you can go to their user page/user talk page; there is a link "User's changes" at the left side of the screen, under "tools". Chenzw Talk 16:39, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
Please pay attention to what you're doing
You created Category:Articles with unsourced statements from Frebruary 2016. Notice anything funny about that cat name? The month is misspelled. Besides that, you didn't use the correct procedure for creating this kind of category. When you create a category that has a lot of other categories like it, look to see how the others are set up and do likewise. You should almost never create a category with just a blank page: they should themselves be categorized, and may need other things as well. --Auntof6 (talk) 01:20, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Auntof6:How do I categorize a category? PokestarFan (talk) 01:28, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
- The same way that you categorize an article. You put categories at the bottom of the page. Look at some existing categories to see how it's done. By the way, you don't need to leave me talkback messages. When I leave a message on a user talk page, I watch that talk page so that I'll see any replies. Also, the talkback template isn't to be used to ask a user to look at something. Just leave a text message for that. --Auntof6 (talk) 01:33, 4 February 2016 (UTC)

I declined the QD request for the template. Please read the deletion policy again. Just because you don't understand what a template does, does not make it nonsense. This template is used by citation templates. If you take a look at Mosque#cite_note-Masdjid1-10, for example, you will see that there is a link for the ISSN. That is what the template does. Your warning to User 184.153.18.12
If you didn't revert a change yourself, please don't issue a warning for it. I chose not to issue a warning when I reverted this user's changes to All Grown Up! because it was a minor style issue, not vandalism. --Auntof6 (talk) 08:04, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
Userboxes
Hi PokestarFan! I'm afraid I've had to move your newly created userboxes to your userspace, where they belong. Please see the top of WP:UBX. Regards, Osiris (talk) 09:04, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
Requests for deletion
PokestarFan, please do not close requests for deletion. For one thing, we prefer that the admins close them. For another, you didn't process it correctly and it had to be redone. Even if you had done it correctly, though, you need to concentrate on getting more basic things down, such as not having created all those TPS-related things in mainspace in the first place.
In general, please just stick to things that are normally done by non-admin users. You've been getting a lot of warnings, and I'd hate to see it result in a topic ban or worse. --Auntof6 (talk) 17:01, 4 February 2016 (UTC)

iOS 9
PokestarFan, I moved this page to your userspace because it is just not ready to be in mainspace. Some of the issues are:
- It was created with {{source}} tags. Please find sources.
- The code name does not need to be linked, because it redirected to this page.
- It used images that aren't on Commons, leaving stray characters in the infobox.
- Improper formatting in the features list
Please work on this article in userspace and have someone check it becore putting it back. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 00:44, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Auntof6:you mean like {{subst:draft review}} or something similar? PokestarFan (talk) 00:46, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) @Auntof6 Er ... I may have made a mistake. I was editing iOS 9 to try to fix some of the issues you listed when you apparently moved it, and now it's recreated in mainspace. Sorry! --Lithorien (talk) 00:48, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
- No problem. The version you made was good, so I restored it. --Auntof6 (talk) 00:59, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
- No, I mean like working in a sandbox and asking someone to check it when you think it's ready (which is actually moot now). We don't have the draft review template. We also don't have the infrastructure or processes to support it, so please don't create the template, either. --Auntof6 (talk) 00:59, 5 February 2016 (UTC)

It is not up to you to decide to add archiving to this page. Do not add archiving to any page except your own user pages.
You have been making a lot of disruptive edits. If you don't stop, I see a block or other restriction in your future. Please try to understand how things work here before making changes. It's better to ask a lot of questions than to make the kinds of edits you keep getting told not to do. --Auntof6 (talk) 01:59, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
Question about revert you made
How is this vandalism? --Auntof6 (talk) 02:11, 5 February 2016 (UTC)

RfD nominations
Let me start by saying we don't really have a good editing tutorial. Other editors wouldn't bother correcting you unless they wanted you to learn. So keep that in mind. Both your recent nominations to delete pages didn't show a good understanding of the guidelines. Talk:Melody Thomas Scott was a talk page, which we don't delete without deleting the article. In this case the original editor followed the guideline Wikipedia:How to copy from another Wikipedia by adding transwiki attribution (giving credit to the editors who contributed to the original article). The other, 22nd century is still at RfD, but most of the editors who have expressed an opinion have said it should be kept. It might be better right now to watch and learn how RfDs work. And keep notes of what is mentioned there. It can be a really good way to learn your way around. You were given a welcome message, which I see is now in your archives. In it you'll find good links to read and reread. They will help you learn how Wikipedia works. I patrolled one of your new pages this morning, Show, don't tell, and I thought you got off to a pretty good start. For now I'd suggest learning how to create better and better articles. BTW, you're still welcome! User:Rus793 (talk) 21:35, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
Welcoming Users
PokestarFan, whenever you welcome users, make sure that their changes are not vandalism. You welcomed users an IP and a user. Both users only edits were vandalism. Please be more careful in using Twinkle and welcoming users. //nepaxt 21:45, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Nepaxt:The type of welcome was the {{welcomevandal}} welcome. PokestarFan (talk) 21:47, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
- In fairness, both cases were close calls as to whether they were vandalism or mistakes (and one of them may have been an unsourced GFE); the {{welcomevandal}} exists for a reason. Etamni | ✉ | ✓ 22:15, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
- There was another IP yesterday: [1] that I immediately changed to a warning. All seven changes by IP to Saint Peter were incorrect; changing title in infobox to say Saint Pete and changing age of death to 12, and slang names for a Saint. As for Bernie Madoff, saying he is dead with a date and by suicide of hanging is certainly not a good reason to welcome and encourage these type of edits. And Bernie Madoff originally received a straight-out welcome by PokestarFan. After I changed it a day late stating a warning would now be stale, then PokestarFan added the warning welcome template. Vandals make fun of us anyway as it is. If we thank them, well.. Again, why a fast entire welcome? Just a beginning level warning would be cautious. These are not yet article writers. Problems with your recent changes, and a warning
I have had to undo or fix several of your recent changes.
- You created a category called "Degrees". The word "degree" can mean a lot of different things, so this was not a good category name. The correct term for this (as shown by the article with the correct name) is "academic degrees". I moved the category to the correct name and moved all the contents to the new category.
- You created a category called "Entertainers from the United States". We already had a category for this, Category:American entertainers. Before creating any article or category, you should check to be sure that one doesn't already exist, keeping in mind that it might have a different name than the one you are thinking of. I deleted this category.
- Besides creating the incorrect entertainer category, you added it to Category:Entertainers from Denver, Colorado. That category was already in Category:Entertainers from Denver, Colorado, which is in Category:American entertainers. That was overcategorization, and I removed the category you added.
- You moved the page Greenville to Greenville (disambiguation). When there are two pages like this for disambiguation, the one with the "(disambiguation)" qualifier should be the redirect, not the other way around. I fixed it to go the right way.
Besides these, there are many messages on your talk page about similar things. There are other problematic changes you made that I think never got mentioned on your talk page, such as other inappropriate categories you created. A lot of editors have had to take time to explain things to you, and it has become disruptive.
This can't continue. I suggest you slow down, take time to watch how other editors do things here, and learn from that. Read our policies and procedures so that you understand what is appropriate and what isn't. Ask whatever questions you have about any of that. Then I highly recommend that when you want to make a change or create something, you run it by someone else first. If you don't do this, and you continue making disruptive changes, you will be blocked. --Auntof6 (talk) 02:16, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
Topic/interaction ban
Due to the continued concerns by several editors here, as ridiculous as it sounds, I am banning you from welcoming all editors, be it anonymous or registered. This topic ban applies whether you use the welcome templates or not. This ban will last 1 week (it will end on 14 Feb, 03:00 UTC). Advice
Hello PokestarFan, I hope you are well. I don't think we've been introduced, I'm Yottie and I have been an editor here for several years. I am writing to you, first of all to thank you for the added structure to the River Avon, Bristol article. I corrected a few more things (such as making the title bold). Don't forget these next time! ;)
I would also recommend not adding a no sources template to such a short article (like you did here), when it takes only a couple of minutes to find a reference online. It isn't difficult, and it helps improve the wiki. It also avoids creating more work for other people :)
Keep up the good work and eventually you will learn how things are done on Wikipedia. Regards, Yottie =talk= 14:31, 7 February 2016 (UTC)

Your changes to Black Mountain (Kentucky)
Most of your changes to this article had to be removed or changed. Specifically:
- You hardcoded Category:Stubs. Stub categories should never be hardcoded. They are added only by use of stub templates. Adding the {{US-geo-stub}} template took care of all the stub categories needed.
- You added Category:Mountains of North America. Since this page is about a mountain in the United States, the more specific category Category:Mountains of the United States should have been used, so I changed it. This also made Category:Landforms of the United States, which you also added, unnecessary.
With these edits and others, you have shown that you don't know how to categorize correctly. Please read Wikipedia:Categories to learn about categories, especially the section "Putting pages into categories". Please don't give anyone a reason to ban you from category-related changes, or to block you outright for continuing to be disruptive. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:39, 9 February 2016 (UTC)

Warnings about direct copies from other Wikipedias
The rule about copying directly from other Wikipedias is only for things that have substantial text. It does not usually apply to templates, although it can apply to template doc pages. That is why your warning about the Dizzee Rascal template was removed.
In general, that warning is to make sure that things that get copied are simple enough for this wiki. If you think about it, there's little or nothing that can really be complex in most templates. When we have rules like this one, you can't always blindly apply them. You have to understand the reason for them before you can apply them properly. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:52, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
RFP Support
Hi there, PokestarFan. I just wanted to stop by and let you know that I saw your support !vote on my RFP and that, even though it wasn't really a voting thing, I appreciate your vote of confidence. It made me smile, though I have a long, long way to go before I ever even think about applying for Adminship here. I hope you have a great evening, and happy editing! --Lithorien (talk) 00:07, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
Tagging articles
Hey, PokestarFan, I have a question for you. Before you are adding all these cleanup tags to articles, are you searching for sources or attempting to fix them? I'm not attempting to criticize you, I'm just wondering so I don't spend a ton of time looking for sources when someone else already checked and didn't find any. Thanks! --Lithorien (talk) 21:42, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Lithorien:I had tagged the artice first, then decided to nominate it for QD. I couldn't figure out what the article was saying. It looks like complete nonsesne to me. PokestarFan (talk) (My Contribs) 21:44, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- It's not just the one you're QDing. I mean all the articles you're putting the "no sources" tag on. It seems like you're putting them on quickly, but I don't know if you've done prior research on all of them and then just tagged them in a huge batch, or what. That's all I'm asking. --Lithorien (talk) 21:47, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Lithorien:I just tagged any without sources. Should I find some sources? PokestarFan (talk) (My Contribs) 21:48, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- I'm sure that other users think differently, but I think that before an article gets some kind of cleanup/maintenance tag (like no sources, or needs to be wikified, or whatever) that the person putting the tag on should make a good faith effort to improve it first. That doesn't mean they have to fix all the issues, but I think they should at least try. So in short, yes, I think you should at least try to find some sources first before maintenance tagging an article. But that's my opinion, like I said, other people might think differently. --Lithorien (talk) 21:55, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

Edit conflicts
Hi PokestarFan, when editing try to make sure the other editor isn't in the process of editing when you begin making corrections yourself. Otherwise it causes an edit conflict. While I didn't lose a great deal of work, my edit was stopped by your edit—changing a capital letter, which is one of the things I was changing along with adding more links. Since two editors cannot work on the same article at the same time, it pays to look to see before editing. If you see the other editor has been editing within the past few minutes (in this case just 2 minutes) you can assume they may still be working. It is a courtesy most editors extend to other editors. I'm not upset, but doing the same thing to other editors may cause some conflicts. I appreciate the help but just give it more time next time, OK? Thanks User:Rus793 (talk) 21:59, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
Stop tagging pages immediately
PokestarFan, I want you to stop tagging articles for the time being. There are two main reasons for this.
- When you tag a lot of articles without trying to fix the issues, we call that "drive-by tagging". We don't want drive-by tagging.
- Some of the tags you have added are inappropriate. For example, you added bare URL (link rot) and no sources tags to Montbeugny. The article does have a source: it is in the references section. Things do not have to be inline citations to be considered sources. As for the other tag, I see no bare URLs on that page.
Please explain your thinking on adding these tags. --Auntof6 (talk) 22:00, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- Ok, I will. PokestarFan (talk) (My Contribs) 22:01, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you. The next time you decide you'd like to work on a certain type of thing, please talk to an established editor about it first. They might be able to tell you the kind of things that new editors often get wrong in that area, so that you can avoid getting them wrong yourself. That might keep you from continuing to cause the disruption that might eventually get you indef'd. --Auntof6 (talk) 22:10, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
┌─────────────────────────────────┘
I see that you have again added maintenance tags to articles -- Rithvik Dhanjani (twice) and IPad Air. What exactly did you mean when you said "Ok, I will" above? --Auntof6 (talk) 18:10, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
Miscellaneous notes
When you add a reference to a page that didn't have references before, like you did with Glomma, you also have to add a references section.
When you move an "External links" section in an article, please change "External links" to "Other websites", because that is the heading that is used here. --Auntof6 (talk) 01:34, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
Userboxes
You put your favorite song userbox out for everyone to use and see, but it was broken, so I fixed it. I also fixed the formatting of the page where you shared it (you left out a bottom-tag for the section you created to hold your new userbox). I'm a big fan of userboxes and have created several (on EnWiki) -- if you have any question how to make them work correctly, or why they might not be displaying correctly, please feel free to ask. Etamni | ✉ | ✓ 09:41, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
Ásynjur
Two things were wrong with your tagging of Ásynjur for QD. 1. Yottie had already tagged it almost an hour earlier so there was no reason for you to add more QD reasons and then make a second edit to add your name to it. 2. You blanked the page leaving only the template. We only do that if the article is a copyright violation or an attack page. I had to go back into the article history to see what it actually said in order to delete. Only (talk) 14:56, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

New issues, and a topic ban
I saw that you changes some "Notes" headings to "References". Do not do that. Our manual of style allows either one to be used.
I saw that you removed the requirement for interwiki links from the requirements for GAs and VGAs. I put them back. Just because interwiki links are maintained on a different site now, that doesn't mean we don't require them.
Because of your inappropriate edits to the GA and VGA requirements, and the fact that so many of your edits show that you don't understand very well how things work here, I hereby issue you the following topic ban: you are not to edit any pages here that are policies, guidelines, procedural, or in any way instructional. This does not apply to articles, only to other areas, including but not limited to Wikipedia-space and Help-space. In the case of pages like Template talk:Did you know, where part of the page is instructional and part is discussion, you may edit the discussion but not the instructional part. This ban will continue until you show that you have a better understanding of how things work here, especially of how to get changes made to policies and guidelines. --Auntof6 (talk) 18:40, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
Wikibreak
Hey, @PokestarFan: What was this edit about? I saw that you put that you were getting rid of stress, but there are much better ways to do it than to put a random string of characters in the sandbox and then save the page. Honestly, if you're getting really stressed out, maybe you should take a short wikibreak and come back when you are feeling better? --Lithorien (talk) 23:45, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
Mentoring
Dear PokerstarFan, I'm writing to you with an offer to become your mentor. This means I would help you understand how things work here, and you can ask me all the question you like. I like your idea of choosing some articles for you to edit in the user space (user:PokerstarFan/ArticleNameGoesHere). If you would like to accept this offer, I suggest you choose three articles which you think need changing (not too long, not too short), and copy the source to a page in your user space. If you do not think you are sure how to do this, just tell me which articles you would like to work on, and I will create the pages for you. I will look to see how you make the changes to the page, and make suggestions if necessary. How does that sounds to you?
- @Yottie:A few things
- You forgot to sign!
- Sure, I will accept the idea.
- Thanks. PokestarFan (talk) (My Contribs) 00:18, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- I did indeed forget to sign, I'm sorry (it hasn't happened in a long time). It is getting late, where I live. Which articles would you like to start on? --Yottie =talk= 00:22, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- Give me a few seconds. PokestarFan (talk) (My Contribs) 00:23, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
Good choices. Each article requires different types of work. User:PokestarFan/David Croft, User:PokestarFan/Penguin and User:PokestarFan/John C. Reilly are where you should edit. I suggest you try to identify the areas that needs improving first (write them here, as a reply) and then I will advise. You don't have to use the talkback template on my talk page, I will be watching New Changes and your talk page regularly. --Yottie =talk= 00:34, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- Also, please focus on the userspace pages for now. Don't do this. --Yottie =talk= 00:37, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- Ok. PokestarFan (talk) (My Contribs) 00:38, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- Please could you keep to the pages you agreed to improve in your userspace. If you keep getting warnings like the one below, you will no longer be allowed to edit, which would be a shame. All I want is for you to learn, but for that you need to take things slowly. :) --Yottie =talk= 22:45, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- Ok. PokestarFan (talk) (My Contribs) 00:38, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
PokestarFan, don't forget to give proper credit to enwiki for the page that you made about John Danforth. You may not have copied the entire thing over, but you took a large amount of it. Please be sure to cite when you do that. Thanks! --Lithorien Talk • Changes 00:40, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- Ok. PokestarFan (talk) (My Contribs) 00:49, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- Since you replied but did not actually provide attribution, I did it here for you. Please try to remember to do that yourself in the future. --Lithorien Talk • Changes 01:53, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
Preview changes before saving
Hello PokestarFan, I hope you are well. Just a little bit of advice, don't try to edit too quickly as you did here. --Yottie =talk= 12:53, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Yottie:It was a misclick. I am using desktop version from a phone. PokestarFan (talk) (My Contribs) 13:06, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
New issue, and a warning
The extra text you added to the warning at User talk:2600:1017:B818:1B8B:1FF:2CE2:693C:2D88 was inappropriate and I have removed it. You have no business telling a user not to create articles. The text in the warning templates was carefully chosen when the warning template system was created. Just use the standard warning templates without adding anything.
You agreed to work with a mentor, but you are still making inappropriate changes outside of what you and the mentor agreed to work on. Every day you get messages about things you did that need to be fixed. If you make any more inappropriate changes, I will restrict you to working only on what is approved by either your mentor or an admin. I strongly advise you to ask someone before making any changes outside your userspace.--Auntof6 (talk) 22:36, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
February 2016
A page you made, Heavy water, did not meet our rules for new pages, so it has been removed. Please use the sandbox for any tests. You may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about changing. Thank you. In addition, the term "heavy water" has a primary meaning that is not what you had on the page. Auntof6 (talk) 22:53, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
New topic ban
That change you made to Italy was unnecessary. There is no problem with the information that the IP editor put into the image caption. You have also not followed the advice you were given to ask before making changes.
Therefore, per the warning I issued you earlier today, you are hereby restricted to editing only what is okayed by either your mentor or an admin. Please work with your mentor on the articles you have in userspace so that you can learn how to work here. You may also edit talk pages, as long as your edits there are appropriate and not disruptive. If there is anything else you want to do, you must ask first. This ban will continue until either your mentor or an admin feels you are ready to do more general work. If this ban is lifted, your earlier topic ban will still be in effect unless also specifically lifted.
Quite a few people have been trying to help you learn how to work here. Please learn from what they tell you so that you don't end up with the long-term ban that's being discussed at Simple talk. --Auntof6 (talk) 00:35, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
What am I allowed to edit?
@Auntof6, Auntof6Bot, Only, Lithorien, Yottie, Bsadowski1, and Barras:What am I allowed to edit? I want a list of specific pages. Thanks. PokestarFan (talk) (My Contribs) 01:42, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

- You can only edit in your userspace. As what Yottie said, you should focus on User:PokestarFan/David Croft, User:PokestarFan/Penguin and User:PokestarFan/John C. Reilly. Chenzw Talk 01:52, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- Well, it's like Auntof6 said in the actual ban, and Yottie told you before that. You are allowed to edit any article that you pull into your own User:PokestarFan sub-pages (like User:PokestarFan/David Croft, for example). You are allowed to edit any [[User Talk:]] type pages, as long as your edits are not disruptive (like violating your topic ban on welcoming users, or personal attacks, or anything of that nature). If you want to edit anything else, you have to ask Yottie or an Administrator for permission to do so. My suggestion is that you closely read over what your mentor said before your latest topic ban and do what he suggested for you to do. Think of it like (but not the same as) the standard offer over at enwiki, only without needing to be completely banned first. (P.S. @Auntof6: If I misread your latest topic ban, I'm sorry. This is just a lay person's interpretation of it.) --Lithorien Talk • Changes 01:58, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- Here's what I intended:
- You can edit in your user and user talk space.
- You can edit in other talk spaces (Talk, Wikipedia talk, etc.).
- If your mentor or any admin gives you permission to edit on other pages, you can also do that. They may give permission to edit a given page whenever you want, or for a specific one-time thing. Of course, none of those people have to involve themselves in this at all, so don't bother them if they don't want to help.
- Any of these permissions can be taken away if you are disruptive. Pinging all the admins when you have a question could be considered disruptive. When you have a question, I recommend that you ask one person and wait for a response. If you don't hear back from that person in a few days, you could ask a different person. --Auntof6 (talk) 04:03, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

PokestarFan's Game
Dear PokestarFan, @Lithorien: and I have thought of an idea which you might like. It is a game! You said you wanted a game, so hopefully you will enjoy this. The objective is to help you become a better editor. Please continue reading if you are interested.
Summary
This is a game about collecting coins. In the game, your goal is to become a world-renowned editor on the Simple Wikipedia, known for your amazingly detailed and well-sourced article creation, your quick and accurate vandal destroying ability, and your meticulous and thoughtful changes and improvements to all the underlying mechanics that make Wikipedia work so well.
Working against you are many factors that you will have to work hard to gain the skills to overcome and defeat once and for all. From poor referencing to vandals; complex English to editorial disputes, danger lurks around every corner. With only one life left, you, PokestarFan, have to travel the dangerous land of Wikipedia editing. If you succeed, one day, nothing will be beyond your grasp.
Rules
- You will focus on only completing the challenge that is given to you. With the exception of the rest of these rules and the rules of SEWP, anything is open to you in order to complete them.
- You will not use automated editing to complete any challenge. This means that you may not use Twinkle, Huggle, HotCat, or any other tool or gadget as a quick, “I did it,” button. The point of this game is to learn about how Wikipedia works and how to be a good editor, not how to use a tool.
- Any changes to an article will be made in your own userspace. What this means is that when you choose an article to edit, you will copy it to [[User:PokestarFan/ArticleTitle]] and edit it there. Once it has been edited to your liking, you will {{ping|Yottie}} and tell him that you are ready for the changes to be reviewed. Failure to do so will mean that your edit is not counted for completion.
- At any time you may choose to stop playing the game. However, while you are playing, Yottie and Lithorien will be watching over you to assist you in staying out of trouble. Should you choose to stop playing and refuse help, your edits are entirely your own again.
The Game
You will be given a set of challenges. These are editing tasks that have been chosen for you to focus on performing so that you can learn the right way to do them. Completing a challenge will give you coins. Those coins can be used in order to do an edit that is not part of a challenge (like vandal fighting), or to use a tool like Twinkle to help you one time. Some challenges will have bonus objectives. Those bonuses can give you many more coins, or even unlock a permanent skill for you to use freely (without checking with your mentor).
Coins can be gained or lost. You gain coins by making good edits and completing challenges and bonus objectives. You lose coins any time you make a bad edit, or start editing things that are not part of the challenge. If your coins start to go below zero, you will get a strike. After three strikes, you lose the game entirely (and suffer all the consequences as if you had chosen to quit). You start the game with 20 coins, to help you in case you make a small mistake or two at first.
Purchases
Some examples of the things you can buy with coins are listed below.
Minor
- Minor edit to an article not part of a challenge (like fixing a wiki link): 10 coins
- Addition of a small amount of good content to an article not part of a challenge: 25 coins
- Reverting one edit (or series of edits) of a vandal and manually warning them: 25 coins
- Reverting one edit (or series of edits) of a vandal and using Twinkle to warn them: 50 coins
Major
- Using automation to help you with a challenge one time: 250 coins
- A large amount of good editing on an article not part of a challenge: 500 coins
- Editing anything not part of the main space or user space: 1,000 coins
- Proposing an article for QD: 2,500 coins
- Proposing an article for RfD: 5,000 coins
There are many more things that you can do with coins. If you are unsure or want to do something that is not listed, feel free to ask Yottie or Lithorien and one of them will come up with a good answer for you of if you can do it, and how much it will cost.
The Goal
The ultimate goal of the game is to make you a good editor that contributes positively to SEWP. You show a lot of enthusiasm and aren't afraid to be bold about your changes, but you have shown that you don't quite understand how Wikipedia works. This will teach you, over time, all the skills you will need to become one of the best editors that Wikipedia has ever seen.
Agreement
If you wish to play the game, then I would like you to tell us the reason why you want to play, and a good faith promise to do your best, below this line. Do not reply quickly, take some time to think about it and what kind of mentoring you are really being offered. Let us know your passion to be a better editor, and then show us by defeating all of the challenges and becoming PokestarFan the Ultimate Wikipedia Editor! --Yottie =talk= 11:33, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

- There is no time limit. You may take as long as you want to complete the challenges. Soon, Lithorien and I will set the first challenges. In the meantime, please stick to the pages we agreed on, in the userspace. --Yottie =talk= 13:43, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- From my perspective, we want you to take your time. This game is designed to teach you. Part of what you need to learn is patience, which means that if you take your time and give us good results, it will be so much better for you and your learning. --Lithorien Talk • Changes 13:46, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

Blocked
Once the block has ended you can make helpful changes. Please read Wikipedia's blocking policy and remember that adding spam, making changes that do not have a neutral point of view, making personal attacks on others, not respecting other people's privacy, and vandalizing pages are not allowed. If you do any of these things, you will be blocked again.
If you think this block is unfair, you can ask to be unblocked by adding {{Unblock|your reason here}} below. If you cannot do this or the reason is private please send an e-mail to simple-admins-l@lists.wikimedia.org and an administrator will look at your reason and reply. You may want to read our guide to unblock requests before asking to be unblocked. Auntof6 (talk) 22:59, 15 February 2016 (UTC)Last try (I promise)
I promise this is my last chance. @Only, Lithorien, and Yottie:I'm sorry. I promise I won't do it again, ever.
- I recommend you serve your 72 hour block, think about why what you did was wrong, and then we will see. If you break the rules once more, I expect a longer break will be necessary. We are trying to help, but you have to agree to cooperate fully. --Yottie =talk= 17:04, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

- (change conflict) That does not fall within the rules of The Game. You may only edit in your own user space. Therefore, you should not be adding references to pages, without approval. Once your block is over, we will think of tasks for you. Maybe one way you will be allowed to participate, is to make suggestions for references on a page in your user space, and once they have been approved by me, or Lithorien, or an Admin, you will be allowed to add them. --Yottie =talk= 18:51, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

- It also is not allowed under the terms of your latest topic ban. The game and the ban are separate things. The game is completely voluntary: you can play it or not, as you choose (although playing it would go a long way toward showing that you want to be a good contributor here). The topic ban is not voluntary, and remains in effect whether or not you play the game.
- By the way, once you put an unblock request on your page, you don't try to close it yourself, such as by adding decline parameters. If you want to withdraw the request, you can just remove it. However, you might want to leave it: there might be an admin who would accept the request, or at least shorten the block. --Auntof6 (talk) 19:18, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

Unnecessary extra block

@Djsasso, Glaisher, Macdonald-ross, Peterdownunder, Caliburn, Chenzw, and Osiris:
- PokestarFan, what is this about? I think your block has ended. Are you unable to edit? If so, please explain exactly what happens when you try. And one more thing; stop pinging all the admins. If you are trying to reach the admins, just post at WP:AN. If you're unable to do that, then use the {{helpme}} template. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:45, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

Back to the game
@Yottie:Now that the block is over, I think I can start playing the game again. Also, I wonder if 10 articles can be reserved for me to fix for the Big Reference Weekend. PokestarFan (talk) (My Contribs) 00:57, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Articles cannot be reserved for the Big Reference Weekend (BRW). If Yottie approves, you can work on adding references in your userspace. If the changes you make are good, he might then approve you making the changes in the live articles. However, there is more to the work for the BRW than just adding references: you have to understand what is required with references, and Yottie may not be ready to work with you on that, especially within the timeframe of the BRW. You might just have to sit this one out: there will more big weekends. --Auntof6 (talk) 02:18, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Auntof6:In that case, can you make the next Big Weekend soon? PokestarFan (talk) (My Contribs) 03:05, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- It's not up to me. The big weekends happen when someone decides they want to coordinate one -- it's a lot of work to do the coordination. --Auntof6 (talk) 05:24, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- I am happy for you to choose some articles, and copy them to your userspace (say 5, for example). Once you have added the references to all of them, ping me and I will check them. If there are any problems, I will let you know, otherwise, I will give you the green light to publish them on the real page. If you get them right, you will earn coins towards the game. Make sure you take your time, because if they are not right, then you will not win any coins. Bonus coins will be given if you make no mistakes the first time. --Yottie =talk= 21:39, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Yottie:I made the first one, User:PokestarFan/Apollo 6. Can you review this one. Also, don't forget about the coin counter. PokestarFan (talk) (My Contribs) 01:26, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) It's nice that you added references, but the point of the BRW is to fix referencing issues. The referencing issue with the Apollo 6 article is the "source needed" tag at the end of the "Public impact" section. If that isn't fixed, then it isn't part of the BRW. --Auntof6 (talk) 08:39, 20 February 2016 (UTC)

PokestarFar, don't use the "BW" edit summary prefix in your userspace. If you update the live article, you can use it there. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 08:35, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) PokestarFan, good job on the references you added to the Apollo 6 article. Those statements really did need citations as well, but there is still the one that Auntof6 mentioned. I found an article that you might like to work on. Mario Kart DS is a video game article that has an unsourced statement that was tagged. If you decide to work on this, please make sure that it fits within the rules of your game before you start. (I'm assuming that it will also need to be copied to user space, edited there, and then approved, before live edits to the article are made.) Etamni | ✉ | ✓ 09:17, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
- Also remember that you need to verify each source that you add to an article. It's not enough to just copy a source from an enwiki article: you have to check it to be sure the source is still valid and that it supports the text that it goes with. For more information, look at the "Referencing info" section on the big weekend page. --Auntof6 (talk) 11:53, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Auntof6:But I did not copy these references from enwiki, I did a Google search for them. PokestarFan (talk) (My Contribs) 12:44, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
- That's good. I didn't mean I thought you had copied them, just that you need to check them if you do copy them. --Auntof6 (talk) 17:07, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
