Some happy golden sunflowers arrived to cheer your first day here!

Hello, dear Wpeaceout! Welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! This website is a free encyclopedia that delivers free, useful, reliable knowledge to all the people around the world. However, working to keep the encyclopedia clean and its information as facts can be more hard work than some may think. We certainly do need more editors and workers here! Although wikipedia is not for being social like websites such as facebook or myspace (and you might get in trouble if you talk too much about your real life with your friends here), you can still make friends with other fellow editors that edit in this place. Everybody's first starts are almost always containing a few mistakes - including my first start as well - but dear heart, don't be shy. Nobody will get angry at you!

You might find these pages helpful for a start:

If you can't think up any ideas of what to do here, then read our Requested articles or the list of wanted articles. If you have any questions you can always ask them at Simple Talk, or ask me. I'm a friendly editor here just like you, too, and I'm more than glad to help out in anything you need.

After you say something in other people's talk pages, you can sign your name with four tildes (~~~~). This will make your username and the date come out. It also helps people to know who said the thing they are reading. Please do not sign your name after you change articles, though. There are many people changing articles, and they would be full of names and dates if they signed it every time they edited, and it would be very confusing!

I sincerely hope you'll enjoy yourself here. :) If you need help, you can contact an administrator or let me know. Once again, welcome, thanks for joining here, and God bless you warmly! And by the way, dearie, I just saw the article you wrote, protection locks, and fixed a few things in it because english wikipedia can't be a reference. =) I hope you understand. Once again, welcome! Sweetly, Bella tête-à-tête 05:26, 28 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

WP:AfD change

Hi. Are you sure that this page is necessary? There is already this one. Do you intend to improve it? If so, it needs some adjustments. Let me know if you need any help. Regards.” TeLeS(PT @ L C G) 15:49, 29 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hey... it's me again. I've renamed some articles you created to other titles. If a page is related to this project, it has to start with "Wikipedia". For example, this page you are reading now is your talk page and is not an article. So, it starts with "User talk" before your name. If you want, you can find some more information in this page or you can ask me any question. Have a nice day.” TeLeS(PT @ L C G) 16:13, 29 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

October 2010 change

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make useful changes to Wikipedia. However, at least one of your changes, such as the one you made to "Dave Meltzer", did not appear to be useful and has been automatically reverted by ChenzwBot. New Wikikpediholic Test change

The 20 question "Wikipedia:Wikipediholic Test" is a first on Simple Wikipedia. It measures your addictiveness, attitude, and etiquette towards Wikipedia.

RFD change

QD request change

Your QD request on Template:!! seems to have caused massive disruption to to the template with more than 750 pages being listed for deletion. Can you check what you have done and revert it if necessary? --Peterdownunder (talk) 22:36, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

The issue has been fixed. Please don't do that again, and before you tag a template, please check Special:WhatLinksHere to make sure it isn't a very high use template such as the one you tagged.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 23:43, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have checked the pages that link to it, but is it a user-made template? Why do so many pages even use it? It looks like this: {{!!}} Wpeaceout (talk) 02:23, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Profanity template change

I speedy deleted the template you made, because it called for pages to be censored, and Wikipedia is not censored. Please see WP:NOT. Kansan (talk) 02:34, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, I have seen WP:NOT. Wpeaceout (talk) 02:21, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

BLP change

I am curious to why you have added the BLP template to Pierre Curie [1]? Having been dead for more than 100 years he is hardly a living person. --Peterdownunder (talk) 06:32, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Re: BLP change

A biographical article, whether involving a person living or dead, must follow BLP.

However, "BLP" stands for "biography of a living person". Kansan (talk) 06:48, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
I see. I originally thought that all persons had to be backed up by sources and be notable! Wpeaceout (talk) 02:20, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
No, you're right. All people/articles do have to be backed up. It's just even more important with living people because living people can file lawsuits if defamatory material is printed. Kansan (talk) 02:44, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Watercress change

Hey. Do you plan on expanding that article. Right now it is a sub-stub and still qualifies for A1.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 22:56, 14 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'm now very confused. I have corrected the article; in what part of the world does "watercress" refer to a cucumber soup? sonia 23:24, 14 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks Sonia. Also confused.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 23:56, 14 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
A file has been added, thank you. Wpeaceout (talk) 04:10, 15 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Removal. change

Hello. Was there a reason behind this removal of content? That is useful content, it could be simplified but is still good. It is in no way vandalism, if that is what your edit summary is trying to say...--Gordonrox24 | Talk 02:44, 15 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I tried to remove real vandalism on the page, but I was editing an old diff and the wiki system erased the new diff. Wpeaceout (talk) 04:12, 15 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
Ahh ok thanks!--Gordonrox24 | Talk 04:16, 15 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ok, however ... change

I personally have no issues with creations such as this, however it's a template that will likely never (or rarely) get used. 99.9% of admins here use one of about 5 templates to tell someone they are blocked. All the best and since I've never spoken to you before, welcome to the wiki!! :) fr33kman 00:46, 19 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Traditional animation change

Howdy!

Just to let you know, I have closed your PGA nomination of Traditional animation speedily as not promoted, as it is currently way off the mark for a GA and doesn't meet several of the basic criterion required for an article to make good article status. I recommend that you take a look over the current good articles, improve your article and then come back once serious work has been put it.

GAs aren't a doddle, and it's not a 'let's nominate this article, have everyone else do the work and then I'll take all the credit' either.

Your edit to the sandbox change

Hi. I saw you undid the bot's edit with the edit summary 'Not vandalism' on the Sandbox. While there is nothing wrong with this, the bot does not clear the sandbox because people vandalize it, but rather to clear it to make it more easy for other users to do test edits, so there is no need to revert the bot every time it removes non-vandalistic edits. Template:User female change

I've moved this userbox to User:Wpeaceout/User female. We don't put userboxes in Template space on simplewiki. We only create them in userspace. thx! :) fr33kman 11:42, 21 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Rollback change

I've added rollback rights to your account. Make sure you review WP:ROLLBACK. Thanks for helping fight vandalism! Kansan (talk) 03:07, 22 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Kansan. Rollbacking is very effective :) Wpeaceout (talk) 04:14, 22 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
Hello, dear Wpeaceout! :) Thanks for your changes. I just wanted to ask...are you sure this change was really vandalism? Some of the material the anonymous user moved wasn't right (since, you know, elves are not "very mucsular because they work out every day for about 16 hours long."). Perhaps it would have been better to just assume good faith and undo the change. :) Please keep this in mind next time, okay? Have a beautiful day! Warmly, —Clementina talk 07:48, 22 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Decline change

Dearest Wpeaceout,

Thank you for nominating me on Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Belinda. However, I really don't think I'm experienced enough and that I know enough to ask for the tools yet. I also don't think I will pass, because unfortunately, some probably do not approve of my work here. Although being an administrator does look much more interesting than a normal editor, I find that I simply do not match the requirements for it. I also think I will feel too sorry for the vandals, so I will find it a sad job to be the one blocking them - and I am a little too young. I also try to remind myself that the reason I came to this sweet little project was because I wanted to make more editors happy and spread free knowledge to the world. Hence being an administrator would stifle some small amount of freedom in discarding all dignity to the four winds and concentrating only on my goal. It would drift my thoughts away to administrator jobs. So, though I feel very sad to disappoint you, I'm going to decline. However, after I grow old enough to what I believe as the age of maturity, and spend enough time here to have memorized all the policies thoroughly and know what to do, I could consider it again. I hope you understand, dear, and although the request will be closed and forgotten, your trust and thoughtfulness for me will be sincerely treasured, and remain in my heart forever. Once again, thank you so much for honoring me with your consideration in even a possibility of my passing the request.   ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 11:00, 22 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your QD nominations change

There are several problems with your most recent QD nominations. QD:A4 is for people, groups, companies and websites that the article does not say how or why they are notable. QD:A4 is most certainly not for an article about relationships between two nations, or communes in France. Reading some of the above discussion regarding QDs I'm hereby limiting you to using the QD template for obvious vandalism only for a period of one month. Let me know if you have any questions. fr33kman 02:44, 28 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. [[WP]]:[[Peace]]out (talk) 02:47, 28 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

New timebox userbox change

Hi, all. This notice is being placed at WP:Simple talk and on user talk pages of people transcluding {{User:Gwib/timebox}}.

I have built an updated timebox userbox. It is built from {{User:Gwib/timebox}}, but has some expanded functionality. You can find this userbox at {{User timebox2}}.
