Attribution
changeHey, when you're copying articles from another Wikipedia site, you do need to attribute where you got the material from. It courteous and it's required by the license all editors agree to when they contribute to Wikipedia. It's pretty simple, just see Wikipedia:Transwiki attribution. Please respect the work of others as much as you would expect others to respect and attribute work you've done. It would be greatly helpful if you would go back through the articles you've created and add the attribution. Ravensfire (talk) 13:12, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
Languages of Azerbaijan
changeHello.
The Armenian language ceased to be spoken as a minority language in Azerbaijan after the collapse of the breakaway Republic of Artsakh and the flight of all Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh, and thus from the territory of Azerbaijan in 2023.
Yours sincerely, 31.200.13.168 (talk) 07:36, 13 September 2024 (UTC)

I reverted your edit regarding the presence of Kanyakubja Brahmins in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka because it lacked a reliable source at the time of the edit. As per Wikipedia's guidelines on verifiability and reliable sourcing (WP ), all information added to articles must be backed by published, reliable sources.
If you can provide a verifiable and credible source, such as a reputable book or academic publication, that supports this claim, I encourage you to re-add the information with the proper citation. This will help maintain the article’s accuracy and adherence to Wikipedia’s content policies.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or require assistance with adding sources.--Symonds Gerother (talk) 17:04, 19 September 2024 (UTC)

changeHello, Symonds Gerother. I noticed that you created some RfDs without giving reasons for deleting the pages. I have undone those RfDs and deleted them. You are welcome to create them again if you give a reason. Thanks. -- Auntof6 (talk) 18:14, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
Tagging pages as not categorized
changeHi, Symonds Gerother. I saw that you tagged Hindustan Aeronautics Limited as needing categories. However, when you tagged it, it already had categories. Please be careful about that. Thanks! -- Auntof6 (talk) 03:40, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- i am really sorry for my mistake. i will be careful for next time thank you. Symonds Gerother (talk) 19:06, 1 October 2024 (UTC)

Issues with tagging
changeHi, I noticed some issues with your tagging like Cassie Lang (Marvel Cinematic Universe) is not a biography of a living person but a character in movies and comics. Also, would like to discourage too many tags on article that are already too short. It only makes reading uneasy and makes page look ugly. If it's already stub then it means it lacks content to be a proper article and there is already a note asking for help to improve and expand it. Further tagging provides very little help. It takes a little bit extra effort to improve few basics things like adding links or categories. So, just trying to encourage people to choose that over simply tagging and letting the issue be. Thanks and happy editing. BRP ever 10:57, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
- ok @BRPever i will take care of this in my future edits Symonds Gerother (talk) 11:03, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, no worries. Please continue your other works. BRP ever 11:04, 3 October 2024 (UTC)

Issues with articles you created
changeHello, Symonds Gerother. I was just doing some cleanup, and I noticed the following issues with some articles you created:
- Please follow the guideline for capitalizing headings. Please see Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Wording for more information on this.
- Please be sure to categorize articles you create.
- In the Related pages section, do not include entries that are not linked or that do not exist on Simple English Wikipedia. Also, there is no need to make the entries bold.
Thanks. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. -- Auntof6 (talk) 10:43, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Auntof6 Thank you for your assistance. I will take care of this moving forward. Symonds Gerother (talk) 10:46, 11 November 2024 (UTC)

Hello, about this your this edit, you added unsourced BLP tag to the article, but I am afraid it is not a biography of a living person. Hence I've reverted it for now. Thank you. ExclusiveEditor (talk) 19:47, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
Hi Dear
changeCyber Crime Break Article sent for deletion? Can you remove that deletion, it's non profit organization z working for women's safety..! Teenageeditor (talk) 10:48, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
Hi, SG. I was just working on this article you created, and I noticed a problem. The two sources in the article said nothing at all about the river. One was an obituary. The other was an article about people who won a fishing contest.
I removed the sources. Am I missing something about why they were included? -- Auntof6 (talk) 09:30, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Auntof6,
- Thank you for pointing that out. I believe I accidentally added those references. You’re absolutely right that they don’t pertain to the river.
- Please feel free to continue working on the page. I have no issue with you making the necessary edits. You are my senior editor, and I trust your judgment in knowing what should stay or be removed to improve the article.
- I’ll review the page again to ensure everything is in order. Symonds Gerother (talk) 09:43, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
Some notes
changeHi, again. Thanks for the cleanup you've been doing. Here are some notes that should be helpful:
- In this change, you added a references heading. That is good, but it also needs the {{reflist}} template or equivalent.
- In this change, you added an "Other website" section. Please use "Other websites" (plural), even when there is only one entry
I also noticed that you still aren't following the guideline I mentioned above about capitalization in headings. Please read that guideline and follow it.
If you have questions about any of this, feel free to ask. -- Auntof6 (talk) 12:42, 18 November 2024 (UTC)

changePlease do not remove quick deletion tags from articles, as you did to "Parvez Sultan Rupani", without a good reason. If you think the article should not be deleted, please add {{wait}} to the article and explain your reason on the article's talk page. Thank you. Auntof6 (talk) 19:40, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Auntof6 ok Symonds Gerother (talk) 19:44, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- It's humerous that you replied "ok", and then you've continued to do this today. Ravensfire (talk) 16:26, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Ravensfire
- However, the situation you’re referring to seems to involve a new account that was created today and immediately started marking articles for quick deletion with identical reasons across multiple pages. This behavior raises concerns about potential vandalism rather than genuine contributions to the Wikipedia community.
- Creating a fresh account and engaging solely in tagging pages for deletion, without demonstrating any constructive edits or meaningful contributions, is unusual and could undermine the collaborative nature of Wikipedia. Such actions merit scrutiny to ensure they align with Wikipedia’s guidelines and are in good faith.
- If there are specific instances where my actions need further explanation or alignment with policy, I’d be happy to discuss and address them constructively. Thank you for your understanding. Symonds Gerother (talk) 16:31, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- Perhaps. There are issues with at least some of those articles though. Look at DJ Manzee, I've removed all of the sources from that article as either an index page or tehy were obvious paid/sponsored articles (w:WP:NEWSORGINDIA for more information). M.S. Faizal Khan has similar problems - it's got all of the hallmarks of Amansharma111 spam article - mostly unsourced "awards", press releases / paid articles as sources, sources that either don't mention the subject or a passing mention at best. Ravensfire (talk) 16:39, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Vijay Naidu
changeThis was tagged by a new account that you noted in the RfCU, but honestly this really, really needs to be reviewed. You're got some clear paid/sponsored articles as sources which is not good. The overall tone is HIGHLY promotional and reads like it's right from a marketing department. Are you being paid to create these articles? I'm struggling to come up with another reason for the sources and tone on these. You create a fair number of good articles, but some of them are really questionable. Ravensfire (talk) 19:37, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Ravensfire, I would like to clarify that I did not create this article in exchange for payment. The article was created based on information I found through Google search results. I have created and simplified over 80 articles from the English Wikipedia, and while working on them, I accidentally came across this individual's information online. I decided to create the article purely out of interest and without any external incentive.
- I acknowledge that some lines in the article may unintentionally sound promotional, but this was not my intention, and I am not engaged in any paid editing work. If there are specific concerns, I am open to revising the content to ensure it aligns with Wikipedia's standards and policies. Symonds Gerother (talk) 19:42, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- That's good to here. There's some troubling aspects. Earwig's copyvio detector [1] shows some places where you've copied and pasted too much. If I hadn't run this and looked at the report for the outlookindia source , I might have deleted a lot of the early life and education section as the two interviews used as sources there do not support anything.
- The career section is just promotional in general. "idenfitied a gap", "determined to bridge this gap" and on and on. Great for a marketing piece on his website, it's not good for any Wikipedia site let alone the simple wikipedia. Ravensfire (talk) 20:04, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- Another significant problem - look at the zeenews source you've got in the article. How closely did you read the article itself and determine that it was a reliable source? Ravensfire (talk) 20:06, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
QD removals
changePlease don't remove QD tags from pages. Only admins can remove a QD template after it has been added to a page. fr33kman 19:49, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- I apologize for my mistake and sincerely admit my error in removing the QD tags. When I noticed that a new user and a random IP address were marking a large number of articles for quick deletion in a short span of time, I assumed it might be an act of vandalism and reverted the changes in good faith.
- I now understand that only admins are authorized to remove QD templates. Going forward, I will refrain from reverting such tags and will instead report any suspicious activity to an admin for proper review. Thank you for pointing this out, and I will ensure to follow the correct procedure in the future. Symonds Gerother (talk) 19:53, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
