Semi protect user pages and user talk pages + block IP

Hi!

I request semi protection of the following pages:

• User:1000mm
• User talk:1000mm – and the current page (and history) deleted
• User:Znuddel
• User talk:Znuddel
• User:Anne-Sophie Ofrim
• User talk:Anne-Sophie Ofrim – and the current page deleted

These users are sysops on nowiki, Anne-Sophie is also sysop on nnwiki.

The last weeks we have all been targets of harassments from various IPs (same person) because the person’s IP was blocked on nowiki due to vandalism and harassment. The IPs have continued the harassment on nnwiki, svwiki, dawiki, enwiki and simple-enwiki. See en:WP:LONGTERM#Request for LTA listing for details.

Earlier today both mine and Znuddel’s user and user talk pages got a semi protection on enwiki, see en:User talk:1000mm.

@XXBlackburnXx, the IP address mentioned here posted on both my and Znuddel’s talk pages at dewiki, but it was deleted pretty quick. Then the IP was globally blocked by steward EPIC because of open proxy.

Other IP addresses used by the same person has been blocked for some days on most projects it has happened. Same IP has posted the exact same nonsense garbage that resulted in indefinite block on nowiki a while ago – this block being the reason he tries to take revenge over nowiki sysops elsewhere – on our talk pages in several wiki projects earlier this week.

Requesting protection of User talk:Iggy the Swan

I'm not used to navigating this Wikipedia to find the correct page, but I think this is more likely to be the right place than others. My talk page has been a regular target of accounts which has introduced nonsense topics which gets reverted by proper well-behaved users. Please protect Fascism

The article is constantly vandalized by history revisioners and pov pushers. It was vandalized 6 times in the last two days, and it's always the same kind of vandalism. Not only it gets vandalized that often, but it's one of the most read articles and it has serious real-life consequences. It's ruining our reputation at this point, read these comments: a user saw a vandalized version, believing it was the "official" one, further comment, my reply. ✩ Dream Indigo ✩ 13:33, 25 October 2024 (UTC)

  I already removed the SPLC paragraph alleged to have constituted a possible copyright violation. I have never heard of or visited the website you mentioned above. The text concerned was quoted from the SPLC article itself which had been put in proper quotation in my article, so I do not see that it actually constituted a copyright violation, but to err on the safe side, I removed it. Only two creations under the new title, so I think it should be kept as it is for now, however if the article is repeatedly created, it should probably be added to the MediaWiki:Titleblacklist if it's being created under numerous names as otherwise they will just hop about from pagename to pagename. --Ferien (talk) 22:34, 28 October 2024 (UTC)

Request for admin review of COVID-19_pandemic_in_British_Columbia

Hello. I have just been looking through New Changes, without registered users showing up, and I've seen this article being edited by an IP address user. The talk page for the IP reveals that they have previously been blocked in relation to the article which they are creating, and it's been deleted at least once. The IP address is User:162.156.70.174, and it also shows their last block as being little more than a week ago. The user appears to be rewording the article, but still seems to be having competency issues with regard to references, layout and wording. I'm wondering if an admin would be kind enough to check the article to see that everything the author is doing, is acceptable within the standards for writing an article please? I did not say that the content is the same, but it still has the same issues that caused the user to be blocked before:

• Despite the challenges, British Columbians showed resilience and care for each other
• The holiday season was marked by pleas for caution...
• This period saw a cautious re-opening of the economy and a tentative return to normalcy.
• Despite this, vaccination rates continued to rise, offering hope for a more stable future.

None of this is language that should be used on an encyclopedia.

It's with a heavy heart that I request a crat remove my CU flag and notify meta. My days as a CheckUser on this project were sincerely some of the best on-wiki experiences I've ever had, but life changes and with it... our hobbies change too. @BZPN @Asteralee for all of the blacklist request above: Blacklisting is an extreme measure that should only be done if URLs to the website have been heavily abused. There's a reason why the English Wikipedia doesn't blacklist Fandom, Quora, or StackExchange. Additionally, the spam blacklist applies to all namespaces. @Fehufanga, on none of the pages you will not find links to articlegenerator.org and dangiyash.top - these links were used for spam and should be blocked. Besides, there is another way to solve the problem of domain blacklisting - you can write AbuseFilter, which will block adding these domains in the main namespace :). Request for create protection: Oceanic Yoga International

3 IPs have attempted to create this article (and one under a similar name, with the same content) this morning, and it's been deleted twice under G11 for advertising and promotional use of Wikipedia. One IP has been blocked.

It's evident that they want this article on here to advertise their product/service. Request for create protect on this article, along with Oceanic Yoga International School, which was the alternative title used for the second attempt.

Recent removal of RB from blocked/banned users

Hi! Just here to let you guys know that I have removed few users who have been blocked/banned. Two of them haven't edited in years, and as far as I am aware, 12 months with no activity is considered inactive. If they can get unblocked and then demonstrate sufficient trust then it's not a difficult task to restore them. As for Cyber.Eyes.2005, they were blocked for concerns directly related to content and have lost trust to hold this right.--BRP ^ever 04:12, 3 November 2024 (UTC)

2024 U.S. presidential election protection

Seeing how the 2024 United States presidential election is tomorrow, I believe it is best to protect this article as it may be a target for vandalism/unsourced material being added throughout the whole week. I also believe that associated pages like Kamala Harris (and her campaign), JD Vance, Tim Walz, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Donald Trump 2024 presidential campaign also be protected as they are highly associated with the election and may also be prone to vandalism throughout the week. Deletion history check please.

Hi. Could one of the admin please check the deletion history for Daotian Middle School please? I don't know how to search the logs myself, and I'm not sure if I can. It's currently up for deletion as non-notable, but I think it qualifies for Quick Deletion under A4, as a non-notable service; if I'm reading the rules correctly, if it's previously been nominated for QD, and failed, it has to go to RFD.
