Hi, The New Mikemoral, welcome to Simple English Wikipedia! Thank you for your changes. If you need help, check out the Help section of Wikipedia, or leave a message on my talk page. Whenever leaving messages on talk pages, please remember to sign your name by typing four 'tildes' (like this: ~~~~); doing this makes your name and the date show up. Also, it helps if you write something in the box that says 'edit summary' whenever you change an article. Below are some useful links to make your time here simpler. Happy editing! fr33kmantalk01:39, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
No worries, just wanted you to know how to request it if you needed it. You don't need to do any vandal reverts as you have it at enWP already. fr33kmantalk02:03, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I decided to make my main goal here to move pages (I thinks it's called TranWiki), but on enWP it is to revert vandalism and/or heavily edit pages. --The New Mikemoral (talk) 02:30, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Okay, if you do ever need it (even for your own edits and your userspace) let me or another admin know. I think you'll like it here. We are a close community and everyone knows everyone else :) fr33kmantalk02:34, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

To prevent bias, I would recommend that you only move hooks that you did not review to the ready to move section. Cheers, Razorflame03:40, 7 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have to say well done on the Typo-Team! The vast majority of proposals here of this sort don't end up going anywhere. The usual reason is "not enough editors". I'm glad I was wrong in this case! :) fr33kmantalk04:50, 7 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Most of my activities on enWP have been centred around dispute resolution and 99.9% of disputes end up being about sources. As such I've gotten very used to finding and using them :) (seWP can sometimes be very lacking in them) :) fr33kmantalk06:06, 7 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Simple News is our community newspaper and it's where a lot of people write about what they are up to and what's going on with seWP. I think an article about the new typo team would probably go over well. SN has interviews with editors and admins; milestone edits (56,000 articles on seWP etc.) and other stuff that people find interesting. You might also want to write an article about yourself; your efforts in DYK, anything really as long as it's interesting. :) fr33kmantalk07:28, 7 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

You know, I guess it's because most of my life being a doctor is about proving things via reliable sources, but I don't get what's so hard about DYK? Find a fact, make sure it's sourced properly and nom it! :) fr33kmantalk04:52, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
No! Not that I saw. I was just saying that I think that my life as a doctor has helped me to always provide proof for anything I put forward as a fact. Evidence based medicine has become a reality of the 21st century. Even ten years ago doctors could prescribe a treatment simply because they had a "feeling" that it might help. Today, we have to have proof that it will work before we can write a prescription. I didn't know that you wanted to be a doctor. I'm an emergency doctor. I drive a ambulance most nights and attend car accidents on a regular basis. I've done more surgery in the front seat of a Ford than most surgeons do in an operating room :) fr33kmantalk05:01, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Proof is required no matter what kind of doctor you are today. Pediatrics, forget it; I couldn't watch kids die! I watched a 2 year old girl die three nights ago after she was beaten by her mother, I couldn't stand it on a full-time basis! :( fr33kmantalk05:14, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
<sarcasm mode>What joy!</sarcasm mode> Really though, wish you luck. Ugh, what a terrible thought... A mother killing her child. Disgusting. Just a quick question, was this in the news? --The New ℳikemoral♪♪♫05:31, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
I've seen worse, sadly. It's not been in the news yet; I am expecting a reporter to call me but my answer will be the same as always; no comment! The worst things I see are rapes, at least if your abuser kills you it's over; rape lasts a lifetime! The cool thing about being a doctor is all the stuff you get to learn about society; the worst thing is all the stuff you get to learn about society! :( fr33kmantalk05:35, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Ugh, that is also disgusting... But, one of my interests are learning about societal norms. Rape, child abuse, elder abuse, and murder are among the most despicable and vile things. Again, have a good day, if you can. --The New ℳikemoral♪♪♫05:38, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Cheers! I've gotten used to it by now. I refuse to take it home with me! Advice I'd give any doctor or aspiring doctor! {hint} :) 05:45, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Well if you can... Thanks for that, too bad it's not like I cannot bring schoolwork home. Double negatives. So you use Wikipedia to not do doctor-stuff? --The New ℳikemoral♪♪♫05:56, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hey there,
Firstly, welcome to the DYK community! We're still quite small and starting out, but welcome to the team!
I've just been looking over your contributions, and i'd just like to raise a couple of things if I may? Don't take them as criticisms... you are doing great work overall! It's just a few niggles that have been brought up by others in the past.
Please don't move hooks to the Next Update page that you have reviewed or nominated. This is simply to ensure that accuracy and reliability is kept, so that people don't "rush through" their own hooks or may be biased towards them for example.
Also, please don't remove hooks until they have either had at least two No's or they have become stale. The Barack Obama hook for example I did not know as a non-US resident (i'm British) - please remember this when reviewing/clerking!
As I said, only a couple of niggles, and please don't be put off!
Just a comment on the Obama hook. It was removed here. The New Mikemoral was the nominator of it in the first place, so I don't think this is a major issue if he's removed his own hook, especially with two official "no" comments and one "unofficial" no. Either way (talk) 18:18, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
I fail :( I had a rough day yesterday and i'm still slightly hungover I think so i'm not really thinking straight! One more thing though is when you nominate picture hooks, ensure that you add (pictured) after that bolded article rather than the end of the hook. So, for example it would be:

Hello, thanks for the work you've been doing for DYK! Just a question: Are you checking if the hook is in the article and if the hook is cited by a reliable source? Because I notice most of your verifications have been things such as, "Intersting", and "Did not know that". I just want to make sure you're reviewing based off the citation, not just because it is interesting. — RyanCross (talk) 07:20, 9 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
The QandA. Every month, Kennedy interviews one of the Simple English Wikipedia's editors, asking them about themselves, and their opinions on Wikipedia. It is an exciting insight behind the anonymous face of an online username.
The Commanders's Choice. For every edition, Yotcmdr will be chosing articles that need creating, expanding or being attended to. Here is this edition's list:

Hello TNM, Sorry I have just noticed your message here. A section on the new typo team would be great! How is it going so far? We can do it a number of ways: You can write an article on it, I can write an article on it or I could interview you, a sort of "project spotlight" or something? Let me know! :)Kennedy (talk) 11:22, 16 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
There is a discussion on-going on whether or not to remove the tools of eight admins. Please comment there to have your say!
