It remains unclear until now, but there is also the possibility the attack was caused by a broken relationship instead of being a terrorist attack. I have been following it this afternoon on Dutch sites. Several witnesses claim he went especially for a woman, and deliberately tried to shoot the people trying to help her after that. RaciologyThe word "raciology" is in dictionaries, but its etymology, provenance and historic importance are not discussed in Wikipedia. The word was popularized by a Colonial School formed in Nazi Germany, under the belief that the scientific study of "race" was a necessary component of colonization on non-white countries by Nazi Germany. I would like to post the same definition of raciology that is found in Oxford English Dictionary and Merriam's Dictionary instead of the summary treatment now given to the word, which does not even include the dictionary definition. I can post this information within the existing section on scientific racism, but I would like assurance that my well researched study of the German's efforts to study "raciology" will not be removed. That vs WhichSpotted this. Interesting, albeit not necessary. In British English there is a tendency to use that and which interchangeably in that type of clause. Eponymous categorizationWhile you are correct that the article was already categorized in that category. It is not uncommon for us to categorize both an article and the category named after it to both be in the same categories. Whether or not this is one of those situations I suppose it could be debated and I don't care enough to do so. Thank you for the satellite imagery of Great Britain; it certainly makes the article more appealing. The previous image had the merit of showing quite clearly what the island is and is not. Castilian languagesI think you might reconsider this page. We already have information on Spanish language, and Castilian language already redirects to Spanish language. This page could also redirect to Spanish language IMO. The historical part of Spanish language could be expanded, perhaps with a section on former and other languages used in Spain (we do have Occitan). The general principle is that a user ought not to have to search several pages for closely related material. Hi, Yes i got a warning yesterday to not create an article again due to advertising. But this article doesn’t carry any kind of promotion to individual, or a brand. And according to Wikipedia policy, ‘A person can be notable if he or she has been written about in many published secondary sources. These must be reliable, independent of each other, and independent of the subject. If there is not a lot of coverage in any one source, then several independent sources may be combined to show notability.’ And you can search about Rahul Kumar Pandey on every search engine, saying the person is not notable for Wikipedia is not fair now. What is the problem? Articles "List of converts to Buddhism" and "List of Buddhist conversions in India" contain different types of information. You don't want the list of conversions I wrote in "List of Buddhist conversions in India" and also in "List of converts to Buddhism". Can you tell me which article to put this content in? If you do not want the content in the "List of Buddhist conversions in India", nominate to delete this article, do not redirect it. I understand that procedure generally does not permit commenting on already-closed RfDs, but just a revert saying not to edit archived RfDs in the edit summary is not as useful as engaging the editor in resolving their concern, and pointing them to the correct destinations. Over the last couple months, I have often patrolled recent changes for vandalism, and often encounter new articles. Some of them I tag for QD, and others I try to fix so they look a little more like a stub. But I almost never leave a message for the person who wrote the article, because I don't know what to say (besides telling them that their article will be deleted). Do you have any suggestions? I recently noticed this article: Philippine Space Agency. It is written badly, but it seems to have some useful information. Do I have to fix it myself? Sidenote, viwiki is really one of the worst place to ask for deletions, I had several of my taggings reverted. It's not a small wiki vs large wiki issue, they just enjoy letting Vietnamese subjects to have pages there. I did several crosswiki cleanups of paid editors / globally locked ones, and I managed to get all the articles deleted from major wikis like de/ja/it/pt/es etc and the only one which refuse is vi. Better to avoid "currently" in articlesHi, IWI, I see you've been adding state legislature articles. That's great. They need more attention. But, I have a suggestion. It is best to avoid currently. As you well know, we have very few editors here. Currently creates a lot of maintenance as elections happen. Rather than "The house is currently controlled by the Republican Party." something like "The Republican Party got control in 20XX." which is still true even if the Democrats regain control later. Judeo-Christian and why I RfD'dI'm posting this here because our conversation at RfD has moved away from whether the article Judeo-Christian should be deleted. I think you misunderstand why I nominated it for deletion. When a drafter writes "Jews believe Jesus was the Messiah" and "Christians think they're descended from Jacob" in Wikipedia's voice, they're promoting a political point. It touches on things like the U.S. military stance on Israel. How much do you know (or want to know) about the rise of evangelical Christianity in American politics since the eighties? It was a little like if the article had said "Antifa organized the January 6 storming of the U.S. capitol" (it didn't) or "The Chinese government made the COVID-19 virus in a lab to use as a weapon" (it didn't). That stuff has to go. If guidelines apply, they're guidelines about hoaxes, or WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS if the "wrong" is that people think it really was Trumpers at the riots (which it was). If and when the user becomes unblocked and makes a new request, an admin will re-evaluate at that time. The evaluating admins do see extenuating circumstances like this, and having non-admins make comments 1) makes it harder to read through request pages because of the extra verbiage and 2) promotes hard feelings between editors. Ignoring for the moment the fact that the source qouted here (FreedomHaven.org) was/is NOT copyrighted (it's published under the GNU license), doesn't WikiPedia quote copyrighted sources? If so, was the problem that I quoted this source incorrectly, or are you saying that we shouldn't quote copyrighted sources at all... or are you saying something else? How we will see unregistered usersHi! You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki. When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed. Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Hi, IWI. I noticed that you declined the QD on this, noting that it is "not about a person". Just FYI, the QD option for notability (A4) applies to more than just people. For example, it applies to products, which a television series is. Aguascalientes page moveHey IWI! I would like to move Aguascalientes Municipality to Aguascalientes City, because the article as written is about the city, not the municipality. However, there is currently an article at Aguascalientes City, although it has very little information and could be deleted. The city is within the municipality, and it seems that the vast majority of people in the municipality live in the city, so I don't think two pages are really necessary.
