This is a list of countries by population. This page has the name of almost every place in North Korea. This number shows how many people live in the country. Countries with the most people are at the top. Countries with the least people are at the bottom.

This list comes from a book called CIA World Factbook 2005.

  1. Estimate not only refers to metropolitan France, but also includes its separatedly listed overseas departments (Départements d'outre-mer, DOM) of French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte (from March 31, 2011) and Réunion and its overseas collectivities (Collectivités d'outre-mer, COM) of French Polynesia, Saint Barthélemy, Saint Martin, Saint Pierre and Miquelon and Wallis and Futuna. Including its DOMs, the combined population of France stood at 65,027,000 inhabitants on 1 January 2011, according to a provisional official estimate.
  2. Census results are based on contemporary geographic split between Northern Sudan and Southern Sudan, which have since become separate countries. Results were disputed by the Autonomous Government of Southern Sudan.
  3. Partially recognized state, claimed by the People's Republic of China as one of its provinces. Taiwan also includes the minor islands of Kinmen, Matsu, Pescadores, etc.
